Thank you for your replies😊 We are at the stage of just waiting on the Embassy appointment. We were document qualified last November. It seems to be taking a year from that date to get an appointment, due to the pandemic. It seems unlikely that our case would be successful, so we’ll just have to wait😩

Our son is a us citizen and his wife American. We have both applied for immigrant visas

My husband has stage 4 lung cancer and although he is in remission at the moment - he knows it will come back. We have missed the first year of our grandson’s life because of Covid and our second grandson is due in twelve days. Would this be likely to be reason for expedition of his immigrant visa and mine as his carer? He just wants to spend his last years enjoying his grandsons and feels his life is ticking away

Do you have to have your medical long before your interview to get results back? We live in Scotland and travelling to London is a huge undertaking 😩 We don’t want to have to do it twice - can it be done just before interview?

Will they give you missing injections at the medical?
And how long after the interview can you travel to USA - typically

Thanks for your help everyone😊

It is an immigrant visa - we live in Scotland and want to join our son and family in the USA . We have to go to the embassy in London for Our interview and medical. Our applications were done on line so we are waiting on appointments

On what basis is a green card with separate appointments where the spouse has to be present? Who petitioned you?
Our son sent our applications in separately

The interview is for a green card at London Embassy. All our documents are accepted and we are waiting for an appointment

My husband and I put in separate applications and are now waiting on interview. Will we be sent a joint interview as the spouse has to be present anyway? We don’t want to travel 450 miles twice for separate appointments😩
