1. Gosh don't know whats going on with USCIS first i got Email notification of approval of my EAD on April 27, 2010 and then another one about card production on May 12, 2010 and today again May 18, 2010 but the weird thing is that the latest status is Card production ordered and now it goes back to post activity status saying approval notice sent. why is that?

here is the latest & 3rd email:

On May 18, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

anybody experience the same weird thing process that goes back and forth??? :help:

  2. Same thing happened to me, first email is April 27, 2010 Card production was ordered and got another email on May 12th that EAD was approved and Card production is ordered on May 11, 2010. I'm thinking that 2nd email means the card is already sent out to our mailbox and will arrive anytime soon,i hope so!!! . Also maybe have something to do with the website when their system is down for a day or two few days ago, the time when most of us got an error message that the page is blocked when we try to Log-in to our USCIS account.

  3. There have been a LOT of cases where the K1 medical is requested because there are drones working who go off a "tick list". They only check your incoming package, and fail to check your A file (which you handed over at POE) which has the medical.

Sometimes they lose it/misplace it, sometimes they're just idiots. usually when you get an RFE like this you either call the doctor that did your medical in your home country to ask for a sealed copy to be sent to you as they are requesting it again (they won't send it unsealed typically), or you need to make an infopass, or some people have involved congressmen to look into it.

Long story short, it's THEIR ineptitude, not yours that would have caused the RFE (most likely).

@ Vanessa and Tony thanks for the reply, when I first got the RFE we thought about scheduling an infopass, to get more info what they really want because I already sent I-693 on my packet with I-485 so maybe its a mistake or something, but because of the horrible things I read and a friend tell me too similar stories that Infopass don't help much and they will only read to you what you already know and no specific answer to your query at all, I dropped that Infopass option because I felt like its just waste of time and effort. I read how some people here are successful with calling their congressman and asked for assistance about the RFE, I thought to do the same thing but my husband is hesitant because we don't know how long it would take for them to reply and there's no assurance that we will be lucky too like the others in getting their attention and help us with our case. On the RFE letter it says that we only have 87 days to reply, we are so afraid to end up getting a denial if that timeframe expire, so he thought doing the medical all over again is our best option. I somehow feel relieved now that after almost 1 month our case has resumed processing ( its takes a long time too for me to see my CS because I need my hubby to drive me there and back home, and he is not available at weekdays because of his work schedule and Clinic is closed at weekends :bonk: ).

    Thank you.

  4. old or new info but I think this rule affected my application of AOS. I got an RFE requestiong for my medical abroad and I submitted that at my POE, or I-693, which I also did anyway but only vaccination transcription only part 1,2 & 5, We paid $45 for that, I'm very confident that I did everything necessary to avoid RFE but then I still received one. Were very dissapointed upon knowing that we have an RFE and we don't know what is wrong and what they want, because they are asking for the same thing we already submitted, but we have no choice but to comply so we go back to Civil Surgeon told her about RFE and she can't understand too why I received that freaking thing because she also knew that AOS based on K1 don't need another full medical exam just vaccination transcription is good, but since my husband don't want anymore hassle of coming back and forth to the Civil Surgeon he decided that I should just get another full medical & physical exam with TB skin test and Syphilis Test for $120.So instead making it cheap my hubby ends up paying $165 + TAX for my medical for AOS, not that bad price compare to other who charged about $400 or more. After reading this rule i conclude that maybe the person who received my case is not aware that TB test thing varies depends on what type of visa you used upon entering the US. The price that we pay is not that bad but receiving RFE is a BIG HASSLE,going back to CS,husband is very busy but need to take day off at work just to take me on my CS appointment and paying courier fee again sending the RFE response and most of all it cause a big delay on my AOS process. My husband just sent the complete physical and medical with TB skin test last monday and I just received email notification last night that day received it and my application process has resumed.

But until now i still wonder why many people received an RFE on their Medical and there's no clear explanation on the RFE letter why so future applicants can avoid the same mistake, maybe making it clear to us that they want a complete one or they want us to do the entire medical again will save us money instead of going for transcription and just got rejected and have to repeat the entire process after receiving RFE and pay again so instead of making it cheaper it become more expensive. Sometimes I wonder too if its just really matter of luck because some people don't send I-693 transcription of vaccination but never received RFE at all. I'm not saying that I want them to receive RFE too, I just want that the people who comply with the requirements won't ever receive the RFE too, just to be fair. because receiving RFE is so FRUSTRATING! :bonk: sorry just very frustrated.

Hope to hear something about my case soon since its already resumed the process!

  5. I went there early morning and never had any problem, a lot of VJ'ers though recommend you choose going there in the afternoon (12:00) to avoid the morning rush and too much people :) It's really up to you. ;)

Thanks for this walthrough NinJones, I read this before my medical last year Oct 22-23 2009 ( I passed!) and it is such a big help. Actually I printed all of this as a guide, the sketch is very exact, amazing.. thanks again!:dance:

  6. Sorry to hear that you have the same RFE as well :( Seems like a lot of people are getting it!! I contacted my congressman to help me find out more information. I still yet to hear from them since they just sent an inquiry to USCIS this morning... I hope to get some info from them. For me, if I don't get anything from them this week, I am thinking of doing the whole medical exam next week OR make another copy of I-693 and then explain in a letter to them that I do not need to do the whole medical exam but only portions... etc.

thanks for the reply LC ,Im from NC if you don't mind can you tell me how you contact the congressman of your state. My husband told me to make an infopass but im not sure if it worth it, it so time consuming.

I see the sample of how I-693 should look like, i wonder why on my I-693 that CS put the date on page 1, part 2 of first examination then leave the boxes BELOW blank, maybe that is why it makes it look incomplete, maybe if she just leave the date of first examination blank like the sample here i did not get an RFE since she didn't do any examination she just transcribed the vaccination record plus the date of transcription is already on the top of page 1. what tough is USCIS RFE letter don't really state what is wrong with our I-693. so confused and pissed!

  7.
QUOTE (Scott & LC @ Mar 12 2010, 08:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Ah now I'm seeing clearer... haha... I guess we did the correct thing after all and the CS was right all along?? I guess I'm gonna have to ask the CS to do the I-693 again and then I will send in some evidence that I have already done medical exam in my home country and also highlight the I-693 instructions to them.

If all the forms are accurate and complete, I don't see how you're getting multiple RFEs on the medical. Something, somewhere is wrong...whether it be you, the CS, or even USCIS.

Sorry for adding to the confusion, again. I hope you and your CS get everything straightened out! <img src="http://www.visajourney.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

got the same problem received RFE today asking for same thing. so do i need to asked the CS abother copy of I-693 with Summary of overall findings?thanks

    - got my varicella vaccine from a public clinic $20)

  9. I don't think this is a big problem... bring the new information with you to the interview and explain yourself. Good luck!

Hi. I tried posting my concern here yesterday, when i started as member. But couldn't find my post anymore.

Im really worrying about our concern. My fiance' and I committed a mistake in filling out my BIRTH PLACE to our forms. I was referring to my Baptismal when i filled out the form and when i told him my birth place i have in my baptismal. Now, the birth place that i have in my baptismal is wrong! until i get my birth cert and find out. I did have my birth place in my baptismal changed to right one, in accordance with my birth cert. We already got the approval for petition and now awaiting for the letter appointment from the Manila Embassy and have my Medical Exam. My question is...should this error that we made cause me to denial? Could somebody advice me about this? I'm being emotinoaly now and this cause me sleepless night thinking about this.

    Thanks in advance.

hello Jakriss, when you first Pm me i thought you are the petitioner who made a mistake (sorry my bad), yes I think they are correct just bring the baptismal (wrong & corrected one) and your birth certificate and also a letter that would explain that you just made a mistake and you want to correct it. I don't think it will cause a denial, goodluck girl. I'm sure you will be fine!

    God bless!

  10. Congratulations again! You know what.. 23rd is my interview. It's the date I was praying and hoping to have so I was really amazed when the lady gave me that date.. Thanks for all your help Kaye. And btw, i was supposed to have my 2nd medical today but ah,.. I was told to go to St.Lukes E. Rod to see a dermatologist cause i have some rashes at my back... It's more like of a "bungang araw" but its not itchy.. pag mainit kasi, humid napapawisan. So anyway, I passed all the medical test and I fall for some kind of a rash?? Kaya a bit frustrating for me cause I will come back next week pa... And I was told that maybe they will give the imu shots on the 21st or 22nd so my left arm will probably go numb during my interview.. So to those who are reading this be aware of rashes on your medical just like what happened to me. The patient I was with today, she's supposed to have her interview appointment tomorrow but it was scheduled for another appointment. For what??? SHE USED MAXI PEEL ON HER FACE!!! It was red but it wasnt so bad.. but still she was asked to see a dermatologist. Although it's not going to affect your visa application but it will cause some delay. SO be ware!!! Thank you..

    stellar8

Hi Stellar so if ever they will asked you to see dermatologist or any other specialist , does it mean another fee or it's included already in medical exam fee at SLEC? Thanks for sharing your medical experience.

  11. There's no need for her to cancel her interview since SLEC will do it for her.Once she passed the sputum and culture tests after 2mos,SLEC will give her a new interview sched and will get her passport back and forward it to the USEM.Good luck and hope she'll pass the tests

Thanks. I cannot talk to Pat right now. She was staying in a hotel near the SLEC. The lower level was flooded. It has been 24 hours since I talked to her on her cell phone.

    Dale
