SSN is not updated by USCIS automatically after naturalization. Every individual has to get his SSN status updated him/herself. The attached document explains it.

Usually name changes and  job requirements drive the need to update SSN status immediately after naturalization. Most states mandate a SSN change for name changes, to issue a DL. Most others tend to ignore as its not a priority for them.

I have received the forms I mailed to SSO but haven't received the new SS card yet. Do you know how long it will take? I did not change name, just update citizenship. Thank you

Hi guys, I got a letter from USCIS stating my interview has been scheduled for the middle of January 2021!

I applied on August 31st and my biometrics were reused. My friend who applied about 15 days earlier than me hasn't received a biometrics appointment letter yet. I am not sure how of if they are prioritizing the applications. The only difference between him and I (both single) is that my GC expires in 2022 and his in 2025.

How was your interview? Did you have same day oath ceremony?

When I submitted my file, I had uploaded pretty much everything they asked for, but I did go in with all the originals, put together in a nice folder, but he didn't ask for any additional evidence, I didn't mention about to traffic ticket when I applied, but during the interview I told the officer that I wanted to update a few things and the traffic tickets was one of them.. I had about 4 things that I updated during interview.

About the oath I think if u have ur interview in the morning, u might get the same day oath. In my oath there were few people who had there interview the same day, some have had there interview they just came for the oath

My interview time is 8.45 am. Do you think there's a chance I may get the same day oath?

Hi i have my interview coming up soon for N400, any Louisiana filer here who have been to the interview recently and if they can share there experience

Good luck! Please update after your interview. I heard interviews in NO is easy, especially for people who can speak english.

I agree with someone above that we should still take the old test because we applied before Dec 1.

The bio was reused... Only thing I didn't understand was I got my interview notice like 2 months before the interview, usually it's about a month before!!!

Oh wow, so you got the letter since October? I'm trying to find out whether New Orleans are working on June 2020 applications already or your case is a special one. Do you know anyone that have similar cases like yours?

3 year applicant... After I applied I. Didn't contact them, coz I know the customer service is useless

Did you apply online? What is your estimated finish date shown on the website? I wanna figure out whether the date they gave us is an overestimate or not. Because I submitted a month after you, but my online estimate is July 2021. Thank you.

I applied in August 2020. I haven't heard anything from them other than the biometrics reuse notice a week or so after filing the application. My case completion estimate says September 2021. How about yours?

My estimate is July 2021 and I applied early July 2020. It was first estimated May 2021, then Jun 2021, then July 2021.

I don't know why it takes so long. Do you know any other who applied in New Orleans too?
