Hi,
I updated citizenship by mail. I have received my passport and the application back. How do we know if my citizenship has already been updated? Do we need to call them to check? I don't change my name, so will they send me a new SS card or not?
Thank you.

I'm not sure why I didn't get the card. I wish I had because that can be sent to some agencies as original proof of citizenship which is preferable to sending my actual Passport or certificate. I'll get it eventually.
this may be wrong, but i heard that if you already have a passport, you can order the card online easily. So check it out if you want one.

Thank you all. Thats exactly what I was thinking as well.

Do you guys order both passport book and card or just the book? Do you think it's beneficial to have a passport card in the wallet with you all the time?

Well, unfortunately, the USCIS is closing on the 19th and 20th due to the ongoing potential of violence. So, my interview has been cancelled and apparently they will send me a letter when it gets rescheduled. 🥴
omg i'm so sorry about that.

Hi guys, I got a letter from USCIS stating my interview has been scheduled for the middle of January 2021!
I applied on August 31st and my biometrics were reused. My friend who applied about 15 days earlier than me hasn't received a biometrics appointment letter yet. I am not sure how of if they are prioritizing the applications. The only difference between him and I (both single) is that my GC expires in 2022 and his in 2025.
How was your interview? Did you have same day oath ceremony?

When I submitted my file, I had uploaded pretty much everything they asked for, but I did go in with all the originals, put together in a nice folder, but he didn't ask for any additional evidence, I didn't mention about to traffic ticket when I applied, but during the interview I told the officer that I wanted to update a few things and the traffic tickets was one of them.. I had about 4 things that I updated during interview.
About the oath I think if u have ur interview in the morning, u might get the same day oath. In my oath there were few people who had there interview the same day, some have had there interview they just came for the oath
My interview time is 8.45 am. Do you think there's a chance I may get the same day oath?

Good luck! Please update after your interview. I heard interviews in NO is easy, especially for people who can speak english.
I agree with someone above that we should still take the old test because we applied before Dec 1.

The bio was reused... Only thing I didn't understand was I got my interview notice like 2 months before the interview, usually it's about a month before!!!
Oh wow, so you got the letter since October? I'm trying to find out whether New Orleans are working on June 2020 applications already or your case is a special one. Do you know anyone that have similar cases like yours?

I applied online, mine completion date on the website says July 2021
Oh so it comes way earlier than what the website says. That's a great news!
Btw, did you get the bio reuse and do you have to redo biometrics at all?
Thank you.

3 year applicant... After I applied I. Didn't contact them, coz I know the customer service is useless
Did you apply online? What is your estimated finish date shown on the website? I wanna figure out whether the date they gave us is an overestimate or not. Because I submitted a month after you, but my online estimate is July 2021. Thank you.

Congrats!!!!
Are you 3-year or 5-year applicant? Did you have to contact them at all? And what is the estimated date shown in your account? Is it earlier than your estimate? Thank you!

I applied in August 2020. I haven't heard anything from them other than the biometrics reuse notice a week or so after filing the application. My case completion estimate says September 2021. How about yours?
My estimate is July 2021 and I applied early July 2020. It was first estimated May 2021, then Jun 2021, then July 2021.
I don't know why it takes so long. Do you know any other who applied in New Orleans too?

Hello, I was wondering if there were any recent N400 filers with New Orleans as their field office.
When did you apply?
I applied in July 2020 and still haven't heard anything yet. Do you know anyone in New Orleans have their interviews scheduled yet?

I have received the forms I mailed to SSO but haven't received the new SS card yet. Do you know how long it will take? I did not change name, just update citizenship. Thank you
