  1. Pika 2019, congratulations! Great that it worked for you! What reason did you have to expedite your case? I can't find any reasons that they can accept. They need something really serious. I heard that even when people had a depression and were on pills it didn't work to expedite. On their official website there are only few cases listed that can be a reason for an expedite request, mainly it's something connected to health issues, work or military reason.

So could you please share what reasons you used to expedite and did you provide any documents for a proof or was it just a letter?

  2. They stopped scheduling appointments... There is a notice on their website ''As of November 16, the United States Embassy in Ukraine is unable to offer routine nonimmigrant visa appointments, including K visas. We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time''.

I guess they stopped it because the changes in the government, so hopefully it won't take long till they renew their work again.

  3. I wonder if they stopped processing visas in Kiev... I have been trying to schedule an appointment for such a long time now... Every day I try there is this notice ''no dates available for the appointment''....Such a frustration! Why don't they create a queue or something because now it is a bit unfair that anybody who is fast or lucky can schedule the appointment and it doesn't matter if you had your case approved in July or a month ago...:(

Cinnamon Toast, did you say that you had a notice about available dates on the main page as soon as you logged in? Did you have this notice on the main page or after you clicked ''continue'' ? It seems that you can't check the calendar page often but it is possible to check the main front page often...that's what I am trying to do  hoping to see that notice without clicking ''continue'' in order not to be blocked.

Can anybody else share how they managed to schedule the appointment?

  4. Is it okay if I sort the documents in different files or use clips to separate everything or bring a folder? Or should it be just a big pack of papers and that's it?

Your checklist is divided into 2 groups 1) originals and 2) copies. When your fiancee had an interview did she take both the original and the copies or just 1? Did she give all the documents to the officer at once and he was looking at everything himself or did she give him certain documents when he asked for them? My pack of documents is so thick that I am afraid it will be a mess and stress if I start looking for the right document if I don't separate them into files.

  5. Thanks for all the explanations!

What I meant if it's necessary to have a confirmation of the interview in order to have a medical check-up? or a person can have a medical check-up before scheduling an interview?

We have just received a message that our request to extend the I-129F  form is added to our case! So it's a relief! I am so glad I signed in and read this information here about this extension!:)

BTW, who doesn't know, be careful not to check the availability of the days for the interview too often. They block your profile for 3 days for a suspicious  activity!! I was already blocked twice, so it's very unfortunate. I won't do that mistake anymore. Tomorrow my profile will be unblocked, so hopefully I will manage to schedule the interview soon.

So for you CinnamonToast it means that your fiancee can already buy a ticket and fly to the US! Congrats again! I hope everything will be fine at the immigration office when she flies there!

  6. I thought that the 6 month entry time starts when you have your visa issued but now you say it depends on the medical check up! They made it so complicated, especially with the virus situation it's difficult even more, like in case of the expired I-129 form. It's not people's fault that they couldn't have an interview earlier, the Embassy was closed... And now those poor people had their visa denied not even delayed but denied! Also, as far as I know a vaccination list is not important at this stage for a K1 visa. That's what they told me when I called the medical center and that's what the official site says. They said if you have this list, of course, bring it for them to know what vaccines you already have and if you need more you will have them in the USA. But as you said, there is a list of the vaccines that people must have before their entry, so that's why they need to have that document with vaccines.

As I understand it is not possible to have a medical check-up if you haven't scheduled the interview first, right? The hope is that there will be enough time like 1 or 2 weeks  before the interview.  So far, we cannot know when and what day will be available for the interview. It was much easier to plan it before when there were no problems with it and people were able to open the calendar and pick any day which was convenient for them.

  7. Oh, the last question was about if I have to send those documents to the Embassy but you have already answered my question that I don't need to send anything unless asked to. But talking about passport registration. As I understand after I schedule the interview I need to call the Embassy a week before the interview and register my passport for the delivery? I remember I have already chosen the place where I will pick up my passport at the website for scheduling the interview. So it's not all? It's not a registration there?

Talking about translation, I had 2 police certificates in Dutch so I thought that I can simply translate them to Ukrainian because they except the documents in Ukrainian but no, I asked the Embassy and if the original document is not in Ukrainian, Russian or English it has to be translated to English only and not Ukrainian.

One more question about a medical check up. How many days did you wait for the results? Do they test you for Covid? Do they check your temperature in the Embassy?

  8. Yeah, Thanks a lot! I have just realized that we also need an extension of our I-129 form. We rely on our attorney with the documents, but honestly, there is no point in getting an attorney. He never told us about this extension and I understand that if I had an interview tomorrow I would have been denied a visa... Unbelievable! He also didn't say that all the documents which are not in English, Ukrainian or Russian should be translated into English. I translated them in Ukrainian and thanks God I saw this information on their website. Do we have to send some documents to the embassy via email? It's the first time I hear about it. Can you tell me what exactly do I need to send? A confirmation page of DS-160 and a checklist which is KEV 1? A confirmation of the interview? A TNT registration?
