    As a USC, I was flagged at the very same crossing for secondary screening, and also had a dog, so I feel your pain. As others have said, secondary screening is random, and anyone can be pulled into secondary. Don't worry about it and enjoy your trip.

    My wife submitted her application online for citizenship and uploaded all the necessary evidence. It was straight forward.

    My wife received a similar email as Crazy Cat, stating I should attend the interview with my wife.

    It only took my wife two weeks to get her passport after Naturalizing at the end of last November. Another vote to apply now and pay to expedite the application. She also got her naturalization certificate back three weeks after applying for her passport.
