    FINALLY!!!! After some despair, I finally received the long awaited approval for EAD + AP at the same time tonight at 7:45PST. I was so happy I cried. I never had any LUDs after the biometrics and before this approval. Thank you to everyone in this thread....

    Our interview appointment letter came today! No touches online, no info on the transfer, just the date of the interview: October 9th.

    My EAD case number is still not online, I guess I'll have to wait til I get the letter or the card!

    We just received the email from USCIS stating that the EAD card production has been ordered. Hooray!

    So after several false starts, it's finally taken care of. Now all that's left is the AOS interview...

    I see a few June filers have their interviews coming up within the next week. Good luck!

    Biometrics and touches

    Should I be worried that my case has not been touched since the NOA1 was sent, even though I've had the biometrics appointment? I know alot of people cant even check their cases yet, but it seems that most people who can, were touched when they went for their biometrics. I went 3 days ago and still no touches. I assumed that it would automatically get touched because all the information etc was recorded at the appointment. Should I be worried that nothings happened?

    I have not gotten any touch since the biometrics but I received my interview letter a week after. Still no touches after that. Most people do get touches after biometrics but I've come across a couple of people who never had touches until they were approved. One guy even received his AP in the mail but his case is still pending online. Coming from a former worrier, I would say don't worry about it! Sit tight and let the process ride...

    We also recieved a duplicate notice about the EAD going to production yesterday :blink:

    Stange things are afoot at the USCIS :unsure:

    Wow my EAD was approved today. Just checked uscis website 8.15pm and says card production ordered. My interview is on 09/14/07. Wow everthing is going on smoothly.GOD is GREAT.I am in phoenix AZ. :dance:.I filed my AOS and EAD at the same time. JUNE 1 2007, Was received JUNE 5 2007.

    Hi Kayz -- I feel for you. Our EAD/AP/AOS application has never been touched before the biometrics. I am only hoping not to trust too much on the online system. When I filed my USC and got approved last May, the online status is still showing pending even if I complete the process. The EAD is for my hubby. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they may be working on the files even if its not reflecting the the touches. I received the interview letter a week after the biometrics and even then, there were no touches in the AOS.

    Volunteering may be a good idea. Ironically, my hubby is taking all this waiting in a stride. I am really more anxious and (close to self destruct mode :)) until at least his EAD comes around. Nothing is really within our control at this point and we can only hope and pray. Try to keep yourselves busy -- is just one to two months more in a lifetime.

    Yes Angilla it sounded like you had tons going on (F) , understandable how the AOS package maybe wasn't as neatly organized as you wished. But that's no excuse for THEM losing stuff - I've heard of it happening several times before (hmm wonder if it is the same distracted worker... :( ??).

    Too bad the online updating seems to be defective, but at least we can't be obsessive-compulsive about snail-mailbox checking - cuz it only comes once a day! :lol:

    In the meantime as you said Angilla, we can get to know each other really well and then have a class reunion when lifting conditions at the same time. :D

    Lina I'm sorry you didn't get biometrics appointment yet, that is strange. I just got the notice in the mail and nothing updated online about biometrics. I wonder if calling up the customer service would be of any help? I hope you get the appointment news soon! :yes:

    I agree about being obsessive compulsive on checking for updates. I have an iPhone so I would get any email updates anyway but I can't stop looking at the case at least a couple of times each day. :) Thanks for keeping me company!

    What does it mean for the application to be "touched"? Can you give an example of status change for EAD a few days after biometrics has been completed. Ever since I tracked my case after receiving the receipt notice, there has been no change in case status.
