  1. i say it's better to include more documents just in case, u never know what the uscis might come up with,u dont want delay's ,just just go ahead and send that with the g-325A and divorce certifecates if any and if u have pic, phone bills, letters from friends or family members, anything can show ongoing relation with ur spouse, it wont hurt u i mean even if they dont request them, but just in case if they do,bcoz they'r going slow on the process anyway,so with this u will know u wont have any delay's on ur case

  2. can someone tell me how long it takes the visa to expire?

    I heard 6 months..but I read 4 months somewhere else..

and also.. Once you get the visa and cannot come right away... what happens with the green card? For instance my husband cannot come right after he gets the visa and so he is just planning to come 5 months after getting the visa (before the expiration) ..in this case what will happen with his green card?

    QUICK REPLY NEEDED PLZ

  3. My case was completed on Dec. 13th.

When I talked to the operator she told me the earliest appt. we CAN get is in FEB.

So... now im thinking, even if we get the appointment in FEb. and the interview is approved.. how long before we getthe visa in hand?

    Our embassy is Amman,Jordan.

It seems like the last stages of this process feel slower :(

I just dont want tht after the interview they tell my husband hes gonna have to wait X amount of months or weeks before getting the visa :-(

    !!!

  4. The NVC recieved my DS-230 on Dec. 1st.

Today I called them to see if there were any updates. First I checked the automated message. It told me that they found information missing or incomplete and mailed a letter on Dec. 12th. [Which I find to be impossible because I know I sent everything and everything correctly] :(

WoW.. I'm really curious on what's on that letter they sent you on Dec 12..

Looks like they generated that msg on behalf of the Police Certificate we are going to need. Then 2 days later i checked...and they updated it to 'case complete'. Then 2 days back I got a checklist in the mail that said we will need a police certificate - but at the point of interview. So it was a reliefe to see they are not holding up our case cuz of police certificate.. and instead my husband will just take it with him to the interview.

So then I called and spoke to a live operater and she told me that they got everything they needed and that our case was completed today. :D

Could the automated message be wrong?

And if our case was completed today, how much longer until we recieve the interview letter?

  6. believe me.. your not the first (unfortunatley)

My husband and I also spent our first anniversary apart. It was on November 19th, just a month ago. We didn't think it would be this way... but what can you do. On top of that I spent almost my entire [7 months of it] pregnancy without my husband and this is our first baby :(

Just hoping this all could end soon

  7. As most of you can tell from the ticker I have at the bottom... I am pregnant.

And this is the reason why we are trying to get my husband to come to the U.S. on a visit visa right now.. so he can be present for the delivery of our first baby. Good enough reason rt?

His CR1 Case is pending at the moment. We are pretty much close to the finish line but not that close that he would be able to come in time for the delivery. The NVC recieved my DS230 on Dec. 1st. So we still probarly have a few months before he can make it.

I've heard a lot of people say that applying for a visit visa while you have a case already pending doesn't really work out. But it is so important for me to have my husband here when the baby is born...as im sure it would be for any mom-to-be.

So does anyone have any success stories on this... or ANY ADVICE whatsoever on how we can increase our chances of getting the visa?

I have also heard that even if you get the visa..you can be denied entry at the port of entry. Is this when the person has arrived in the US? Do they have to go back then w/out meeting their family?

    ANy advice would be appreciated!!!!!!

  8. When the NVC says your case has been completed, does that mean they have sent it to the Embassy/Consulate already? If not, how long after the case being completed do they usually send it to the embassy/consulate?

Also, what does it mean that a consulate is an 'appointment post'?

My message at the NVC automated line changed from case completed on 11-19 to case sent to embassy on 11-30.

Appointment post means those embassies who's appointments for the I-130 is set by the NVC.

oh okay... i dont think they have one of those for the US amman consulate website :(

So after you hear that your case has been sent to the embassy.. can you call the NVC and ask them when the interview is scheduled for? Will they tell you? After how long is this information available?

You should go to the US Embassy Amman to check how they handle the appointment times. I'm only familiar with the Philippines where we can search for appointment by entering the NVC #. Mine was there on 12-3 so it didn't take long after NVC sent the case to show up.
