Thank God, we made it. You guys have been very helpful and I thank you. We had our interview on 28th Jan. I was with her at the interview which was very smooth. Within few minutes visa was granted and we picked up her visa the next day. POE was a breeze. We are very happy.

Time Savers for NVC, plus Knowing your Case #

Does the above tells me in any way how soon the nvc might complete the processing of my case?

That is exactly what it sounded like to me too. After NVC receives all the necessary documents, they will take them through their normal processing (Administrative processing as she mentioned) and when that is done and they have everything they need, your case will be complete. It does take a few days so hold on tight, good news is on your way.

In conclusion: There are multiple answers to each immigration related question and they are all correct?? .... a mystery forever unresolved.

I called today around 11:30am and was told the interview date. Until this afternoon scheduling was still ongoing. Don't loose hope yet as they may be still scheduling even beginning of next week. Good luck!!

I called again today in the afternoon with tiny hope but received the same old answer saying NO date yet, aghhh.... I guess we will just have to catch the December schedule bus. I'm beat.

I called both places. NVC said, "we have sent your file to the appropriate consular and you need to call DOS at washington to find out more". So I did and you know what they have said.

But I truely hope you are right. So there will be some hope with the stress

People who are waiting for an interview date....

Well, it seems like this agony is going to take more time and strength out of me. Finally, I talked to someone at DOS who told me that scheduling for this month is done. I wanted to scream. That means we won't get a date until 2nd week of December. This will be a tough one, I tell you. Considering when a day seems like a damn month.

I am curious if anyone got interview date this week as the DOS or whoever schedule interview the 2nd week of each month. Please respond..

Completed on 16th Oct, case forwarded on 24th and we are eagerly waiting for that date. It seems that closer we get, more impossible it gets to wait. I have been calling DOS everyday to find out if they scheduled anything.

I don't get how this 2nd week of every month scheduling works. Do they schedule for next month on that week or what?

I would also go with 07/09/2007. Only certificate will tell that you are legally married. Good luck

humm...it took almost 5 months to be approved...the process is so slow..i sent mine in the beginning of July..so i guess i have a long way to go..

Don't be disappointed. As you can see it really varies case to case. Why? Mystery to me. Yours might be approved sooner. Pray and hope for the best and that seems to be the only thing we can do from our end. Good luck

When u call the DOS number , u will be straight on a 15 min wait... every 3 mins you will hear a man saying a visa specialist will assist you..so please dont hang up thinking that the line has dropped in between. One other thing. you can call your embassy after 15 working days .. which is 3 weeks to find out the interview date.... depending on embassy to embassy at the speed of alotting the interviews.
