Hi everyone,
Was just reading on here that some people have had issues renewing DL due to some DMVs not accepting the ROC extension letter as a valid document. I live in the Chicago area. Does anyone know which locations accept the I797 NOA form?
Thanks in advance!
Unless the DMV doesn't know what it's doing. They should absolutely accept the expired greencard and extension letter together.
Mine didn't even question it.

Applied mid November 2019
Biometrics waived May 2020
Interview scheduled July 2021
Interview September 2021
Was told everything is good but my biometrics has expired so I needed to redo it. Forgot to ask about the waiver from may 2020. Told me there were no appointments for biometrics as she tried to book me one. But will continue to try. Said biometrics will probably be in October. I asked her about stamp she said it's up to me but I wouldn't bother as It will take about as long as it will take to get my 10 year card.
Been 7 days since interview. Status is still interview has been scheduled. Hopefully my file hasnt been lost in the void.

Wow at everyone being approved. Still waiting from November 2019. Anyone have interviews? Did you get an immediate approval or letter at the end?
My interview on Monday the officer told me I need to redo biometrics as mine was expired even though It got waived middle of 2020 due to covid. Now I have to wait who knows however long for a biometrics appointment. Hopefully they don't lose my file. No update to my status since appointment either still say interview scheduled.

When did you do biometrics in the past? I saw somewhere that an applicant had biometrics waived since he or she had biometrics done 5 years ago!
Mid 2017.

Hi Guys!
Is anyone from 2019 still waiting or is my case the odd one?
Filed I-751 in November 2019. Been waiting for interview since July 2020. Case status updated to show "ready for interview as of July 2021" #######?
Filed N 400 in March 2021.
Any feedback/suggestions appreciated as I will be traveling in FEB 2022. Already have 1 extension InfoPass stamp on the passport.
Thanks!
Literally the same months for everything. Just had my i751 Interview but was told although they waived my biometrics back in may 2020 it has actually expired and I need to redo it so now I need to wait a month or more for an appointment because there are no ASC appointments at any offices in my whole state. They will only approve my case when the biometrics appointment has been done. Sooo probably a 2 year long roc case for me.
-
Just had an i751 interview, everything went well.
Was told I need to update my biometrics before approval as mine have expired. Last year my biometrics was waived and they were gonna use my biometrics from like 2017 AOS.
So I guess my roc has taken so long (19 months) I now need to redo biometrics. Officer tried to book me an appointment for an ASC while in the interview and told me the appointment will probably be a month away as no ASC has appointments right now.
Tried googling if anyone has had this issue and can't find anyone stating they've had biometrics after interview. Maybe it's a covid thing? Weird that they waived the biometrics but now want new biometrics.
Anyone in the same boat?

My status changed to interview ready to be scheduled back in November.
Any others with ROC in chicago know how long the current wait time for interview is, or previous wait times for interviews?
I know with covid backlog etc it will be a while but can't find data with the usual times.

How long have you been waiting for an interview to be scheduled?
I'm just going to gather what I can and also write a letter of explanation and hope it's enough. I would send it all tomorrow if I could but I'm waiting on my daughter's official birth certificate to arrive which will be 20 - 25 business days as they didn't accept the birth certificate given at the hospital.
A few weeks. Don't think I've seen a case go from interview ready to be scheduled to RFE though so I think I'm ok. Chicago service center so I'll probably be waiting a good six months.
-
Cant send what you don't have. Send a letter explaining situation.
I sent almost nothing but with letters of explanation, joint bank statements and car titles, affidavits etc.
No RFE but did get interview ready to be scheduled. So I don't believe I'm getting an RFE unless I get it in interview.
-
Just send what you have, and a few letters explaining situation. I didn't have much evidence literally joint bank account and two paid cars in our names. Then some other small things. Included letters about living situation and bill situation as we were living with in laws.
Applied last November my status now says waiting for interview to be scheduled. So don't think I'm going to get an RFE. Will probably have a harsher interview though. I was also worrying about evidence amount.
Irks me when I see people that get divorced a few months after marriage and getting an easier ride with USCIS with ROC.

I just received a second notification that my case has been transferred... Did this happen to you? Two transfers days apart...
Exactly what happened to me. However I only actually received one physical in the mail transfer notification. Did get two transfer notifications online.
-
Yeah I feel like only a few percent are denied and that is down to non response to RFEs or not showing to interviews etc.
Very few are denied and even then you can appeal it and if that fails you can be seen by a judge. But if you have a rock solid case you don't even need to worry.

I just got this...
Case Transferred And New Office Has Jurisdiction
On November 13, 2020, your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number LIN209*******, was transferred to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case.
Obviously I need to wait to get the letter, but has anyone else had this notice? And if so, what did it mean for you?
Your timeline is close to mine. Also Nebraska service center.
Got a letter saying it was transferred to NBC. Then a few days later changed to interview ready to be scheduled.
Didn't get an interview on AOS so you will definitely get one on ROC. Now I wait a few months for interview to be scheduled.
-
Application was received November 20th 2019.
Biometrics waived in May 2020
Transferred to NBC October 30th
Interview ready to be scheduled November 10th.
Entered on K1 from UK, no interview for AOS.
Anyone know how long it usually takes to schedule? Chicago area.
Thanks.

Applied for ROC roughly a year ago. Was sent to Lincoln service center. Marriage based. I haven't yet filed for N-400.
Just got an update last week that it was transferred then three days later it was transferred again according to status check.
Received a letter in mail notifying me of transfer to NBC. 100% will be getting an interview as I didn't have one at AOS.
Letter states that a preliminary review of my case has been completed (all in bold letters) so would this mean I won't be expecting an RFE or is that for the new service center to decide. Or what a preliminary review entails.

I've checked the page on USCIS to tell me who to include in household size but I'm still unsure.
On my tax returns it's me and my wife joint filing.
I live in my father in law's house. Do I include him in the household income or not?
Report receiving 24 months i751 extension letters here please

Applied for my ROC November 2019 so almost two years ago.
Ain't received nothing. All my stuff has been expired since June. Went to my ROC interview and was told in the officers opinion not to bother applying for stamp (I asked if they could give me a stamp there but was told I would need to speak to customer service line) as I should have my 10 year soon enough. That was almost 7 weeks ago. Still no update. What a hassle.
