I am so upset! My wife’s interview supposed to be on 12/24/2007, 8:00AM.
Now the Consulate in Managua re-scheduled the appointment for 01/11/2008, 8:00AM. I had made some plans already to take her to Las Vegas on New Years, now I have to cancel all reservations.

Dios los Bendiga!! God Bless You both!! I wish you the best. Hopefully my wife passes her interview in Managua, Nicaragua on 12/24/2007 too.

My wife will have her interview on 12/24/2007, and I was wondering how to arrange a binder with all the documentation pertaining to our case. Since NVC already sent all original documents to the Embassy, I guess I only need proof of Bonafide Marriage.
The way I am putting everything together is as follows:
1) Photos of our wedding with family and friends
2) Telephone, emails, and IM, records
3) Remittances sent
4) Times when I visited my wife in Nicaragua
That's all I can think of right now. I will appreciate, if you have any more comments, or suggestions.

My wife's case was also completed on 10/12/2007, and just a few days ago I got a letter from NVC with the interview date.

Karla,
Why don't you have a time line yet? It would be nice to see how your process it's going.

My wife and I are in the same predicament. I filled and sent her paperwork in November 2006, and still no interview. Her case was completed on 10/12/2007. I hope that she’ll be here by January or February. It has been a stressful year.
-
To tell you the truth I am frustrated because my wife’s case was completed on 10/12/2007, and still no word if they are doing something about it. I have been calling NVC every single day and all they tell me is. You have to wait 8 weeks, and then if nothing has happened in 8 weeks then you give us a call. The way every thing is happening, I guess she might get her interview in January, or February of 2008.

My wife and I are in the same boat. My wife’s case was completed on 10/12/2007, and I see no movement. I call NVC almost every day. They just tell me to wait, wait, and wait. I am so impatient! I hope this nightmare is finish soon because I am getting so stressed. God Bless you and good luck!

Thank you so much!!!

Can some one provide me with the telephone number of The Department of State?

Hi Rachel!
I did translate marriage certificate, police records, and wife’s birth certificate. She just sent me all the originals authenticated by The Supreme Electoral Council in Managua, and one of my friends signed all the documents. As long as he, she writes the following:
I John Nero, certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and Spanish languages, and the above/ attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled (name of document) for example, Birth certificate
-
I feel she is not telling you the whole truth, but what can you do? when you are really in love, you are totally blind. Later on when you find out what happened, you are already screwed. I knew of a case similar to yours. The person brought his wife to America then in three years she became US Citizen and end up living her husband and bringing the person who she claimed was the person who raped her. If I were you, I would go to camping and meditate about what happened? Ask God to help you decide what to do next? [/font]
-
It usually takes about 2 weeks. Make sure that you read and comprehend all questions. Example box 20, write the dates whenever she got her 16th birth date. Mi wife’s was return because of this stupid box. Do not leave any dates blank.
-
Call the IRS, and ask them to send you transcripts of the last three years and that is better than sending the W2’S.
-
Just be patient, my wife’s took about 4 months.
-
Thank you very much! Now, I understand what I supposed to write on box 20. On number 2, I called the NVC, and they told me to write N/A, because she has never used any aliases.
-
Thanks! However, what should I write on box 2? Should I write NONE, or N/A? On boxes 2, and 3, I wrote the same. Example, DINASTY MARA, JOHN DOE.
-
Thank you very much for your prompt response.
