  1. I am so sorry to see that Document Verification is still causing you all so many problems. You can see our timeline below. All I can add to what you all have already experienced is that if you get caught in this "black hole" it CAN take 6 to 8 weeks from the time Delbros verifies payment to the time you have your Visa created by the Embassy and released back to Delbros for delivery. To further add to the stress, Embassy personnel (Grace) can only tell you to be patient and wait while it is "in process". Ms. Allen at Delbros is about the only person we found that could possibly help with some kind of status.

    The full story was posted here;

    As a follow on, now that she is here in the USA I was able to review some of her documents and found out why we were put in the "Document Verification/Administrative Review". Her Birth Certificate was from her Province and really, really hard to read. Red Flag, needed to be verified. It seems that "later" means even more in the Provinces when it comes to responding to a Document Verification request.

    I wish you all well and GOD's speed through this part of the process.

  2. I finally received the information I have been waiting for since we filled our I-129F at the end of May, 2007. My fiance received her Visa via Delbros on March 7th after being approved in her interview on Jan 7th and 2 long months of Administrative Review.

    I am heading to Phil on Friday the 14th and getting her to the USA the following week. Better not to waste any time as they might change their minds :)

    Our thanks to everyone on VJ for your help and support!

    Looking forward to a rest for a couple of weeks before we get into the AOS part of the process.

  3. I hate to be the bearer of possibly bad news, but my fiance and I are still in AR after getting this same information as well. Our interview was Jan 7th and we have yet to receive a Visa. In the end I have learned that Grace and others at the Embassy really can not estimate anything and I will never again plan my life around the information they give.

    I really really hope you have a better experience than ours and receive your Visa as soon as possible.

    Please take care!

  4. My fiancé had her interview at the US Embassy in Manila on January 7th and was approved. For a while it was a very happy event. Then she received a phone call on January 14th asking why she did not pay the Document Verification fee to Delbros when in fact she had done everything and followed the process at the Metrobank in Davao City on December 20th. She was asked to fax a copy of the receipt and did so that day. Since then weekly calls to Grace at the Embassy with inquiries are answered with “be patientâ€. Calls to Ms. Allen at Delbros are also answered with “be patientâ€. Here we sit over 7 weeks since the “approval†and still no visa in hand. Oh, we did receive a phone call this week stating that her NBI document expired on February 13th and that she would have to provide another one.

    Other than just venting, I am providing this post to add or add to some suggestions. Some of these were already covered in other posts by many before me, I just did not listen. So my suggestions based on this experience are as follows;

    • Do not be in to much of a rush to get documents to far in advance before the interview as they expire. When other unforeseen stuff happens you will want documents with expiration dates as far out as possible so get them as close to the scheduled interview as you can. Some take time to get so make sure to factor that into your timing.
    • Follow the “updated†process for the Document Verification fee. Send the text, send the fax, call and email Delbros for verification of payment. Also, do this as soon as you get a record number from the Embassy and an interview date. You want this to be completed by the day of your interview. This is especially important if some of your fiancée’s documents are from a more remote Province where Document Verification will take even longer to process. Fortunately Delbros is pretty responsive with feedback.
    • DO NOT schedule flights until your fiancé has the visa in hand, or at least please understand it could be a huge risk.
    • Also do not expect too much from Grace or others that answer to the phone at the Embassy. They are not in any position of power or control. They can not get anything expedited, even if it was due to their or Delbros’ mistake. They have standard answers they give out, especially if your file is labeled “Administrative Review†in the computer. They will not supply anything concerning timing that you can plan your life around.
    Thanks for listening and certainly Thank God for VJ. I can not imagine ever going through this process without VJ and the VJ community for help and support.
  5. The same thing has happened to us. My Fiance paid the fee at the Metrobank on Dec. 20. She had her interview and was approved Jan. 7th. She received a call on Jan 14th asking why she has not paid the fee. After sending a fax of the scanned receipt on Jan 14th we have been waiting ever since. Nothing like this nightmare happening after you are approved in the interview.

    Do yourself a favor and follow-up with Delbros after the texting just to make sure!

  6. My fiancee Never received her packet/appointment letter. There is nothing unique about the packet except the appointment letter. The rest of the packet just contains instructions, etc. that are also on the USE website and also samples here on VJ. She was allowed to use the website printout for both medical at St.Lukes and to enter the Embassy.

    Spoke with Grace at the USE about not receiving the packet and she did not seem worried and informed us about bringing the printout to the Embassy as well.

  7. APPROVED! I spoke with my fiancee early this morning. She arrived Monday morning at the USEM at 4:40 am. Doors opened so to speak at 7:00 am and by 12:30 she was approved. Just our luck she got an office who was by the book strick. In any case she had all of the answers and supporting documentation they were looking for. Now we wait for the Visa. I am heading over on Jan. 18th to help her pack and bring her to the US on the 25th. POE Detroit Michigan.

    Congrats Chris. That is so wonderful

    :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

    Thanks Tim. I will breath easier when the Visa has been delivered. She never received any Packets from the Embassy, so I am a bit skeptical about their overall quality of service and delivery.

    I wish you well on the last part of your Journey. I will continue to login to learn about the next steps in the process.

    Please take care!

  8. APPROVED! I spoke with my fiancee early this morning. She arrived Monday morning at the USEM at 4:40 am. Doors opened so to speak at 7:00 am and by 12:30 she was approved. 9. My fiancee, Evelyn will also be there bright and early Monday morning, Jan 7th. Spoke with her a few hours ago. Her flight from Davao arrived and she was in her hotel.

    Good Luck to everyone. Here's hoping that all the Embassy employees are in a good mood on Monday.

    Take care and thanks to all for your help and support.

  10. Thank you!

    I was able to speak to Grace. Very nice to talk with someone directly and she was so nice. Looks like you can use the same copy of the website appointment printout to enter the Embassy as well. The rest of what would be in the packet is in the Sample Packet Information here on VJ or on the Embassy Website.

    We are getting close. Medical and CFO already done. Just need to get through the interview, get the Visa and CFO Stamp, then we will be leaving for Michigan on Jan. 25th.

    As always, my thanks to everyone here for being so helpful, comforting and nice. Best of luck to all of you!

  11. My fiancee has her interview on January 7th. and has not received any official "packet" from the USE in Manila yet. She was able to go through her medical on Dec. 27th with the printout from the website, be we are getting worried now.

    We have both tried the Embassy this morning (Wed Jan 2) but no luck. Not sure if we even have the right number to call.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

  12. Thanks for adding us. My fiancee's name is Evelyn. It looks like we would have been in the early Feburary group as our number is in the MNL2007820xxx group. But she is pregnant and at her age, we wanted to try and get her here as soon as possible so the Embassy pulled us ahead. Thanks to God something helped to move things along faster.

    Congratulations and good luck to everyone.

  13. FINALLY we can see the light at the end of this part of the tunnel.

    We have medical on Dec. 27th and our interview on January 7th. Our record number is in the MNL2007820XXX group. We are three months pregnant. Since she is in her mid 30's and has never had children, in the states she would be considered somewhat "high-risk". So we sent a fax to the Embassy last week requesting an accelerated date. Not sure if this date reflects that request being granted or not.

    In any case, I have to admit it feels good. I hope everyone gets their dates soon if they have not gotten them yet!

  14. I apologize if this is redundant. I did a site search on Pregnant and Pregnancy and could not find the information I am looking for. Here is my situation;

    Filed I-129F End of May 2007

    Visited Fiancee first two weeks in Sept 2007

    Find out she is pregnant the last week in October 2007

    NOA2 Approved November 2nd. 2007

    If she were not pregnant we would be looking at Medical at St Luke's in Manilla and an interview after the first of the year. My question is does her being pregnant have any effect on the process? Does she have to be approved and travel before her third trimester starts (March 14th)? Are there any rules specific to the Philippines concerning pregnancy and I-129F Visas?

    I am not getting much sleep lately. I thought I would be happier with an NOA2 but the anxiety just changes to different issues.

    My thanks in advance for any help anyone out there can give us!

  15. My NOA1 date is the same day as yours. No touches since June. I try not to look at the USCIS site as the date does not change and it is to frustrating. I am leaving for the Philippines this Friday to spend some time with my fiancee and try to put the Visa slowness out of my mind. We were hoping for Christmas to be all done with this, but Feb or March seems more realistic.

    Since we can not control it, I guess it makes no sense to get upset about it. Good things will happen in time, I hope.

    Please take care!

  16. My soon to be wife, lives in Davao City. It is our understanding that while there is a website for a consulate in Davao, there is no physical office to handle paperwork and interviews. I hope someone comes on here after me and tells us both otherwise, but at this time I am not confident. A trip to Manila will have to be planned otherwise.
