hello guys...
im in the same boat as you are... soon as i got my EAD, i applied for SSN right away... been more than 2 weeks now, called SSA and even went to the office for the 2nd time.. all i got was they havent received any response from USCIS yet... so i was advise to wait or call USCIS for that... i called USCIS and said to schedule myself for an INFOPASS, well i didnt... so my plan is just to call SSA again this week hoping they have received what they need from USCIS and just wait... anyways i can still work while waiting for the SSN...
hope we get a clear answer to this SSN issue!!!

I just received an RFE saying my wife's I-693 was incomplete "Page 3, Part 2, Section 5 is blank or missing." I called the doctor's office today and they said "No it's not". I asked for a copy and they said they couldn't give it to me?????? Anyway, I'm going to get another copy and send it to CIS.
Any suggestions???
Thanks, Larry
my doctor gave me a copy of what they have sealed in the envelope for USCIS... maybe you can ask them again if they can give you a personal copy...if you really wanted to make sure, better go back to the doctor's office and ask again to be safe... hope this helps...

if it is white, don't eat it...., flour products like doughnuts, cookies, cakes, pastas, bread, pizza, and even rice. if you must eat white rice, then do small portions and not everyday. artifcial sweeteners are worse than pure sugar. stay away from sodas, and sweet drinks. if you must eat any of these things. then do it only on weekends or certain pre determined days. stick to lean meats and fish with salads veggies, fruit, nuts and exercise. buy a bicycle or kayak. swim, hike, and walk. if you don't eat right and stay active. YOU WILL GET FAT. it worked for me. i lost 70 lbs. but sometimes you just have to get tired of being fat, before you do something about it. there are a lot of advantages to being lean... heath being number one. but its also great for making love too. good luck to everyone and their struggle to stay thin

It's the rice that has put weight on me! I am the husband...
I had Ruchie cut our Rice intake by 1/2 in order to get rid of these extra calories. No more buying a 50# sack of Jasmine Rice...
hehehe thats funny... good you like rice.. my hubby seldom eats rice why i cant cook it everyday...

Well I guess it's a good thing for everyone that only two VJer's got RFEs!
Congrats to the rest of you who did it right the first time!
its a good thing, yes it is... but i hope most of the member will participate too... if only few had gotten RFE's before... we can actually eliminate getting RFE's in the future if all of us cooperates...

hey guys.. just tracked down my AOS packet.. it was delivered July 24 at 9pm.... looking forward to NOA soooon.... cross fingers....

Good idea!
RFE #1 - my husband had filed a tax extension, so his 2006 taxes had not yet been filed when we sent in our application. We had submitted his "most recent tax return", 2005. The RFE was to submit form 4868, Application for Automatic Extension of Time to File US Individual Tax Return. We got his tax accountant to send this to us. Evidence accepted by USCIS.
RFE #2 - this was a weird one. I entered the US in April 2006 with a passport that expired a couple months later. I didn't want to be travelling with an expired passport; so on the advice of Passport Canada, I applied for a new passport by mail, submitting the expiring one along with the application. There is an option on the passport application to have the old one returned or not...... I selected "Do NOT return old passport", since at that time I had no reason why I would need it later on. With my I-485 application, I sent in copies of the CURRENT passport, but USCIS wanted copies of the passport which I used to enter the country. Well, I didn't have it. I had to call Passport Canada, get them to send an official letter and a printout of my application which shows the "Do NOT return old passport" box checked. They had to verify that if an expired passport is NOT returned to the owner, it is destroyed. Evidence accepted by USCIS.
thank you so much for the reply... you did a good job writing the reasons down and the action that you did to provide USCIS... thank you... hope everyone will do the same... this will help a lot of members going through the AOS process...
thanks... keep posting people... thank U...

hey guys... since ive been reading some doubts and worries here in the AOS forum about the TB skin testing new procedures... we are not sure yet if they do request RFE's coz of that... so i was thinking, for all of us new AOS filers... if you ever receieved any RFE's in the future (God forbid)... kindly please write down the reason why USCIS is requesting for RFE's so that we can avoid this from happening in the future...
i also welcome those peeps who have filed AOS in the past and have gotten RFE's to please write down the reasons why... hope this serves as a consolidated reference for reasons for rfe's....
thanks...

hello guys... im just a bit confused... i wanted to make sure that we will get no RFE when we send out the AOS forms... my question is this...
i only had one shot for varicella back in the Philippines... due to no enough time, i had to do the next shot here in the US... but i havent done that yet... i am in the process of asking Dr. Arnold to transfer my DS3025 to I693 form... now... will a single shot vaccine be a cause of RFE in the AOS later on in the process??? or should i get the next dose before i have my forms transferred to I693A???
is there anyone here who have been successful passing the AOS stage without taking the 2nd dose of vaccine?????
please enlighten me... thank you for reading....
have a nice day!

I didn't loook at your list but I did notice something else:
Remember, AOS is something YOU are sending in. Your husband/wife isn't sending in a petition like the K-1 petition. I don't think you need to have 2 signatures.
And I don't believe Petitioner and Beneficiary are correct terms to use anymore.
thank you for your time looking into that... i will make necessary changes... thank you so much....

i think HPV Vaccine is the greatest invention nowadays... i would want to have my child to have it for protection if i have one... i wanted to have that vaccine but im too old for it... aged out.. its a vaccine protection against Cervical Cancer... HPV is the most common cause of cervical cancer and this vaccine protects you from it... a lot of success stories are written online about this.. do a little research to make you at ease... id rather suggest taking it in the Philppines where everything is cheaper....
God bless

oh well... its been a month today and havent received any SSN... called SSA customer service a million times, no clear answers received... went to infopass today USCIS and said that i should be good to go since my EAD is valid and that SSA should verify it at once... went to SSA office and said that they had a mistake with the forms they have submitted, so confused... have to re-do everything at the SSA, to find out the the guy who typed all my info the very first time i appliec made tons of TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR!!! f#@*K... i have corrected all the info today and still they told me that its not verifying and that i have to wait for 4 weeks, oh my... what the heck, am i waiting for nothing again????? what is wrong why cant they verify my status electronically??? shouldnt the word electronically means REAL TIME?? and if USCIS said that im good to go, why cant SSA see that in their system??????????????????????????
please enlighten me......
