3) an I-130 petition, if approved and visa is issued... the parents arrive as a resident so no further applying needed

4) they arrive as a resident... NO I-131 required for short term stays out of the USA

yes I will be a US citizen soon. I am confused, how do they arrive as residents if they only have a visa? Don't they have to apply to be a permanent resident like I did after I arrived?

I have a few questions on bringing foreign parents to the US.

First, after I submit the I-130, is there anyone here that can give me their timeline and give me and idea of how long I will wait?

Second, when can my parents apply for their Resident status once they arrive?

And lastly, when do we apply for Advanced Parole (I-131) so my mother can leave to take care of some things outside the US?

I would appreciate any answers to the questions. Thanks!!
