  1. Passed my interview today; waited for 20 minutes and done in 15 minutes. I was told I’m recommended for approval and was given a piece of paper for instructions how to get a passport. Was told that I will get a letter in the mail for my oath ceremony schedule and will just bring the letter and my green card. He said I have to wait for a couple of weeks after the oath ceremony to go to Social Security office to be sure that my status is updated. I filed my N-400 Aug 29, got my Biometrics reuse letter (my last biometric was 10yrs ago) December and my interview letter last January.

Just saw Estimated completion date May 2021, seeing this for the first time since applied. Applied August 13, 2020. Estimated wait time still says we are taking longer than normal to process your case. No word on Biometrics. GC was received 9 years ago, not sure if they can re-use that far back.  Case is at NBC and field office should be San Antonio. Should I be expecting a biometrics receipt notice soon?

I filed N400 Aug 29, 2020 and my estimated completion date is May 2021 then was moved to June 2021. I received my Biometrics reuse letter Dec 16, 2020 (my last biometric was more than 10 years ago when I lost my 1st GC) and got in the mail the interview schedule letter yesterday, Jan 15. My interview schedule is on February 26 - It took 4 months for NBC to transfer my file to the Field Office (I filed online) 🙂

My wife is eligible to apply for naturalization in March, so we're getting things together. It says 5 years of addresses and employment, but we are filing under the 3 year rule. I mean I guess I could do 5, but when I get to the part about being out of the country it will look like she was gone a long time.

    What do you all think?

Yes, it would appear that she’s out of the country for 2 years since she’d only live in the US and had a US address for 3 years; you know what I mean? However, if you put the 5 years information, doesn’t the application also asks for the date your wife enter the US? I think I remembered that the question “being out of the country” is from the date of the Green Card was issued to present. Did I remembered right?

My wife was scheduled for biometrics Mar 7 and then the ASC closed due to Covid. I emailed USCIS several times and made a few phone calls to them up until Sep 2020 but gave up after that until I emailed again last weekend. This week we got a Bio reuse notification (but they're keeping the money we paid for new Bio), then this morning got a notification saying an interview had been scheduled but not when. The notice also said expected wait time 6 months, hence my screen name 😒

I received my Biometrics reuse letter last December 16, 2020 (they’re keeping the money too) and my Letter of Interview yesterday. My online timeline is June 2021, but the Notice of Interview I received in the mail said I’m scheduled for interview on Feb 26. I filed my N-400 online last August 29, 2020. It took 6 months from filing to interview date for me.

    Hello Team,

My online account have been like this for the last five days, anyone with an idea on how long it takes to appear  my estimated wait time and the documents I submitted.

    Thanks.

I hope you already have an update on your status . I filed online last Saturday, August 29 and got an update today. Estimated completion is on May 2021 (8 mos.)🤭

You aren’t the only one, though you have me beat for how long you’ve waited. What made you take the leap? The increase in fees?

I planned on filing the N-400 last June 2019 when I came across the online option and registered an account. Family emergency came up and I forgot about it. That’s still 9yrs of procrastination and I’m thinking of waiting another 10 yrs to file the N-400. Increase in fees is okay. I’ll probably be exempted of some requirements in that time (kidding 😁). Today is a good day to file: I was able to get my husband log out of his computer and he got me the information I needed.

    Hello everyone,

My wife got her Green card through our marriage 5 years ago. Technically, she was eligible to apply for US Citizenship 2 years ago...But, we procrastinated. No, we decided to apply this month.

While applying, we noticed under eligibility that we can either select one of following

    1. Permanent Resident for 5 years OR

    2. Permanent Resident for 3 years and married to US Citizen spouse.

I'm wondering which option should we select ?

I went with the 5 year rule. I’ve been eligible to apply for US Citizenship 10 yrs ago (too much procrastination 😁) and just submitted my N-400 tonight. 🤞
