  1. Funny. I've heard of those Sex questions, but in California. I thought my wife and I wouldn't have to worry about that in Newark, but it looks like a possiblity. Our interview is on 11/30.

If you don't mind me asking, how did the officer look like? Just so I know to be prepared.

Also, how many pictures did you bring? And did you bring paystubs as well?

My wife and I have an age gap, but only 1 year.

    Thanks!

  2. It is still very early for you to be worrying about an interview date.... and transfer to CSC in not the norm... if you do get transfered to CSC then you may get approved without interview....

As far a rescheduling your interview.. unless you are still in the hospital and the doctors refuse to let you attend, then you should go... they will only accept rescheduling for life or death situations... some people have tried and ended up with a letter of denial a few weeks later....

    Good Luck with the surgery...

    Thanks Kez :)

I dont normally worry like this....i'm usually more laid back, i guess my impending surgery has me on edge.....thanks for the advice!!

I'm under the same boat as you. We've recieved the EAD on 7/7/07 but no touches since then for the 485 or 130.

Let me know if you hear anything, and I'll do likewise.

  3. I should add that the time it takes to get an interview letter depends strongly on the load of your local office. You don't say where that would be.

BTW - if you're going to have an interview, its normal for the USCIS website to show that all the applications are at the NBC.

I believe my local office is Newark, NJ. The timetable says it's processing i-485s with receipt dates of 10/11/06

Looks like they're really behind. The 765 dates are March 29, so I see how this makes sense now. Thanks for helping me understand a bit more. I appreciate it.

  4. Hi All,

My wife has already taken the biometrics, and over this past weekend, we've recieved the Approval for I-765 with the Employment Authorization Card. Basically, It seems as though only the 765 was processed, but the others (130 and 485) are still pending and have not been touched since May 05, 2007. We all received receipt notices at the same time back in April.

Also, all 3 are still at MSC. I thought the 485 and 130 have to be processed elsewhere. Can anyone recommend what I should do? I've seen other users timelines here that were filed around the same time and most if not all have their interview notice recieved. I don't have anything but the employment authorization card. If it helps understand the situation, my wife was admitted to the US over 10 years ago through a G visa as a Dependant. (Her mother works for UN)

She's already had an employmend authroization card since last year, but it has expired until we got this new one this past weekend.

    Thanks all
