  1. Ok, who is the choice of agent, you or your husband?

Anyway, if either one of you hasn't received the AOS Bill, you should call the NVC to find out if they even generated it, which they probably already did. If they have, then you can go to James' shorcuts in the National Visa Center forum, generate the bill yourself or your husband and mail it in. I think you're wasting precious time by just waiting around for the NVC to mail their stuff.

  3. I don't think she meant she was out to sue. I think her basic question is whether or not she has any recourse against discrimination.

No, I knew what she meant. It's just funny how that's the first thing of concern. IF she can sue.

A chance at "free" money? Sure why the hell not. I see she posted another thread in the K1 forum asking about qualifying income. Does 1+1 actually equal 2?

I cant just sue anybody unless I have evidences of course, I just wanted to know my rights in advance, is that not being smart huh? rights about racial discriminations when applying for work, not being treated well, etc. I believe I have to know that. Now I do know my rights because someone nice had to paste the link here.

As for Joemama, you look asian too. Are you asian, coz you look like one, really. You look more of a Filipino guy.

    Pangit.

    hey asianbeauty

why you call him pangit (ugly)? you think your really that beautiful?.... if there is someone who is "discriminating" her? its you gurl.

    your acting like a kid!!

  4. 1st excuse my English. Thank you.

I would like to know my rights as a legal resident there when I am married to an American Citizen.

What can I do if I will be discriminated in going inside a rich restaurant or shopping at rich stores, and they don't want me inside because of my ethnicity? One of my friends from the Philippines went inside a store, she could afford to buy the store's products but she wasn't treated well because she is Asian. I don't want that to happen to me. Can I sue them? what about if others are too harsh on me; nasty words, disrespecting me, insulting where I came from, etc.. I can excuse 1-3times I think but if I couldn't take it anymore?

Please advice. Thank you very much!

    just curious....

what is your purpose in going to the US? shopping? dining in expensive restaurant?.....

where ever you go "discrimination" is always there even here in the philippines.... if you want people to respect you, be nice to you...you should be nice and respectful to them too.

its really up to you gurl on how you handle the situation whatever its is.... just be yourself and be nice... and be patients.. God Bless you!

  7. i already recieve my IV Bill. it stated there that they also send the AOS form to my husband back in states but he told me that he dont have it yet. when will they send the AOS Form to him? hope to hear from you...Thanks in advance

When did you send AOS Fee Bill and when did NVC receive it? It should be generated about 1-3 weeks from when NVC receives the AOS Fee. Call NVC and find out, if it is generated.

my husband did not receive anything from the NVC even the AOS form. but we already pay the IV bill.. until now he havent receive anthing from the NVC.

Just making sure we are straight here...

How much did you pay for the IV Bill? If you paid $380 that is the IV Bill. If you paid $70, that is the AoS Biill and you will receive the AoS form only after the $70 AoS Bill is paid.

i paid the $380 already that is the IV bill. how will my husband pay the $70 when he didnt receive any letter from the NVC?

the first paper that i had from the NVC which is the choice of agent form. that they will send AOS fee bill to the petitioner which is my husband...till now he didnt receive any from the NVC.

  9. Once the NVC system shows that it has received your AOS fee, it will generate the AOS/I-864 itself. (This may take anywhere from up to a month after you send the fee in.) Note, however, that neither the processing of the AOS fee nor the generation of the I-864 is reflected on the IVR -- you actually have to ask an operator.

--- This is the part I don't get - you actually have to ask an operater what? I sent in my AOS and they still haven't processed my payment (it's been about a week and a half now). Is there anyway to speed up the processing by calling the operator?

    :help:

To find out if the AOS payment has been processed, you need to call the automated number and follow the prompts to speak to an operator. If it has, as per Jame's instructions you can then call back the following Monday, again speak to an operator and find out if the I-864 has been generated. If so you can then forward your self generated I-864, bar coded cover sheet and accompanying documents . Neither the processing of the AOS payment nor the generation of the I-864 can be confirmed via the Automated Voice Response Service.

hi there! my husband havent recieve the AOS yet. they said in the papers that they will send it same time as my choice of agent.. i already receive and pay the IV bill until now he didnt recieve anything from the NVC. hope to hear from you. thanks in advance. God Bless!

  10. Firstly they wont deny you just bc you have a child and its not your husband's. He does not have to hurry and adopt, you can do that in the US. adoption is an option, not a nessesity. Your husband can do it if he wants, it wont interfere with the interview.

My main concern was tho you thinking youd be denied if he didnt adopt your baby.

    Good Luck.

ok thanks a lot for your comments. my friend just brought that up when we were talking. thats why i was worried coz i dont have any idea about that. God Bless!

  11. hello to all! im new here.. i would like to hear from your comments about my situation...i have a pretty baby girl which i had when i was single now that im married to an american citizen. i have a friend who told me that my husband should adopt my babby while we are still here in the philippines. coz the interviewer might ask about it...and there is a posibilities that they will deny us (knock on woods!). im bothered though coz other say its not needed coz my babby is using my family name and i never put my ex's name on her birth certifecate i put unknown....i wouuld love to hear from you. God Bless! :):)
