Either keep trying or try calling at a different time of day - they are on Eastern Time so earlier is supposedly better, but we had decent luck throughout the day.

After the visa is approved at the embassy, how long does fiance have to leave the country. Some say visa is valid for 3 months, some say 6 months? Anyone knows for sure?

Simple questions: The poverty guidelines says the household of two is $17,112. So, I have to make a minimum of $17,112 a year or do I need 125% above that amount $34,224??? Thanks for your help.

She speaks russian. If she goes to Romania, she will have a language problem. I could go with her to the interview, but most likely they won't allow me at the embassy.

Since Romania is the designated consulate for Moldova, I have to belive they will have at minimum, a Russian speaking interpreter. E-mail the consulate and ask if Russian is an option for the interview for a Moldovan citizen.

I called USCIS and then checked the status on-line and it shows the case has been touched. Does it mean someone worked on my case or because of the phone call to USCIS? Any ideas? Thanks!

Need an advise. In my I-129F I put Chisinau, Moldova as the embassy. I found out later that this embassy does not process K1 visas. What do I do now? Will they notice that and do you think they will send the forms to the right embassy in Romania?

Do you think service centers are going to be flooded with new applications in July, because of the fee increase at the end of July? Do you think it will take a lot longer to approve applications? 3 months?6 months? a year?
