  1. We just received our interview date for Sept 11. We're trying to scramble and get a medical appt now.

I'm just a bit confused because on the U.S Consulate Frankfurt page it states what documents are required to bring to the interview.
Yet, on the email it states differently? They have a few different requirements of what to bring. I had written them an email weeks ago regarding this, and they told me to bring whats on the website. So now I have to write them back and confirm again.

  2. No idea! It's hard to estimate. I've watched so many videos online of people that just had their interview a month or two ago. It really depends on the country and embassy.

I wonder, how many people they will try to interview a day? I was watching one video, of this Canadian girl explaining her interview process, and she did the interview through a teller  window. The interview itself was quick and easy but the process and safety precautions the whole embassy had to take was what took the longest.

So take that into account. Hopefully something gets scheduled for all of us by mid to late September/early October. Given that we/our spouses still have to get the medical exam.

  3. I just received an e-mail reading that they approved our request for expediting our visa application. On CEAC it now says" Interview location: Frankfurt".

I don't know if they actually read my expedite request that I sent in Friday or if this is just an automated message that we will all be receiving this week, but nonetheless, it's good news. Good luck to everyone and I will share what the next steps are that we receive.

  4. For the last two years my husband and I have just been waiting it out ourselves but this notification from the NVC actually alarmed us so I felt the need to create an account and write in this thread. We received it at 12:42 pm on July 31st, 2020.

    "Dear______,

We previously notified you of the date and time of your immigrant visa interview at the U.S.Embassy/Consulate General in FRANKFURT, GER.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to cancel this interview. We will schedule a new interview appointment as soon as possible and notify you of the date and time. There is no need for you to take action at this time.

If you have any questions, please contact us by following the instructions at https://nvc.state.gov/inquiry."

At first we panicked because we were never given an interview date. The last email we had received was on June 1st saying that they received all our fees, etc and that they are working with the consulate in Frankfurt to schedule an appointment. I immediately called NVC, was on hold for about 35 minutes, and got through to an agent. She told me it was a "glitch" and that she has no timeline of when we could expect an interview date. After doing some Youtube research I heard about trying to expedite the process by sending a request. I submitted one about 2 hours ago. No idea what to expect but I found comfort reading all your responses. I will update you with the response that I receive from them.
