  1. Your interview was almost certainly rescheduled for the second date and time. If you go to the original appointment you'll likely be told that your interview was rescheduled and that they sent a second letter.

    This isn't all that rare.

Still, I would do exactly as you suggested, unless it's very inconvenient to go to the first appointment... just in case the second letter was a mistake (which is very unlikely).

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, although I didn't receive any communication saying so, and the customer service agent also said that she doesn't see that the first interview was cancelled.

  2. Interviews are handled by the local field offices, have you tried contacting them instead of the uscis customer service? If they don't answer calls, try to make an infopass appointment at the earliest available time.

Doesn't look like the Jacksonville office accepts calls. I live about 2 hours from the office, I figure I will just show up for the original interview date, if there's a problem, I will show up to the next one!

  3. Hey Guys,

In the process of applying for my citizenship. I received an interview scheduled notice last week, and then another one turned up yesterday with a different date and time!

Spent an hour talking to USCIS customer service, who initially said she didn't even see that my case was scheduled for an interview, I promptly informed her that I was currently staring at two interview notices! After 20 more minutes on hold, she then said she had never heard of this happening before, and that I should attend on the original interview date just in case!

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

  4. How long on average does it take to recieve packet 4 once you send off packet 3?

I sent packet 3 on the 10th March. Its just that my first packet 3 got lost so im now thinking the same will happen with packet 4!!

  5. Hello people.

Ok my fiancee is a dual UK US citizen (born in US), she has been living in the UK for over over 15 years, and recently moved back to the US in October 2007.

what date should we put for question 2 on the I-134? Should we put her birthday or the date she moved back in October?

  6. Just a quick question, in the instructions for packet 3 it states only complete pages 1 & 2, do I send all 4 pages back or just the first 2? I thought perhaps they may ask me to fill out 3 & 4 at the interview.

    Thanks

  7. Woohoo, packet 3 finally arrived today.

Noticed there was a little piece of paper with instructions on how to apply for the new police certificate, how important is it to get the new one? I sent off around 4 weeks ago for the old style police certificate, will this still be ok to take to the interview?

  8. Still nothing, emailed the embassy on Monday to request another packet 3 to be sent, still waiting to hear back, its really starting to get frustrating now as I have everything uptogether and am ready for an interview

I feel for you. Our P3 was lost in the mail back in Dec. After waiting 11 days for it to arrive, we just mailed in the completed P3 stuff anyway.

I have allready filled in the forms that need to be sent back, do you think I should just send them back anyway, what about the checklist that is included with packet 3? like I said I have everything uptogether so was hoping to send it all back at once

Also would there be any problems if I went ahead and booked the medical?

  9. Taken from the I-129F Help Sheet:

    A. Form I-129F Filing Locations for K-1 Fiancé(e)

If you live in the United States:

File Form I-129F at the service center listed below based on where you live.

    If you are filing abroad:

File Form I-129F with the service center listed below based on the last place you lived in the United States.

NOTE: Your petition cannot be adjudicated at a USCISoffice abroad.

  10. My fiancee has dual citizenship (US & UK) Currently she is living with me in the UK, and will be moving back to the US in 2 months to live with her parents. We are currently in the process of filling out our I-129F and was wondering which address to put on the form? She hasnt lived in the US for around 8 years. Should we put our address here in the UK? If we put her parents address it wont appear on the G-325A as she hasnt lived there for so long.

  11. Hey guys, a quick question regarding payment for the I-129F. Basically my fiancee is a dual UK & US citizen. The new instruction sheet states that the check or money order must be drawn on a bank or financial institution located in the US. She doesnt have a US bank account. Then further down the sheet it says if you live outside the US, contact the nearest embassy for instructions on the payment method. Contacted the embassy in London and they were no help whatsoever. Any ideas?

  12. Ok me (UK Citizen) and my fiancee (Dual UK & US citizen) have a question regarding payment for the I-129F. My fiancee doesnt have a US bank account, so the only way we are able to pay for the petition is by using a Foreign bankers draft which will be issued from a UK bank, is this the same as a money order and will it be accepted?

  13. Hi, this is my first post on this forum so be gentle!!.

Ok here we go, Im a UK citizen and my fiancee has dual citizenship both UK and US and are currently both living in the UK (She has been living here for the past 8 years). We have both decided that we would like to live in the US and are going to go down the K1 visa route. Upon arrival in the US we intend to live with her parents for the short term. Looking through the I-129F form it seems that its possible for us to send the completed form off while she is living with me in the UK. Basically we are trying to minimise time apart, she will be moving over to stay with her parents approximately 2-3 months after sending the form. Just wondering what address we should put in part A of the I-129F Our address here in the UK or her parents address in the US. Any help would be appreciated.
