I have booked my medical for the end of next week. What do I say to the doctor doing my medical? What do they say to the consulate?

If the question asks if you have a mental condition the answer should have always been yes; otherwise you are being untruthful. It’s not up to your interpretation. If it says “Are you at risk I’d harm to yourself or others” the answer would have been no. As you said you have documentation from your providers that you are not risk for harm so I’m unsure why you were so leery to mark “yes” to the question. Will you have trouble for lying for your VWP or FD260 I am unsure. Did you bring this up at your medical?

Does this mean i will be found to have committed fraud of wilful misrepresentation? Will i need a waiver or am i barred from entering the united states forever?

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting after browsing the sites for a very long time. I am having my spouse interview next month and I am rather concerned. Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

I have diagnosis of bipolar disorder type 2. it is well managed. i am no risk to others or self. I have a 3 page medical report from my treating psychiatrist that outlines my psych history and medical history.

On VWP I have always answered 'no' to mental conditions and I did so on the DS260 as I was under the impression it is only a YES answer if this is likely to result in harm in the future - which in my case is not. 

My concern now is that I have made a mistake and I should have ticked 'YES'. I am worried that come interview I will be required to apply for a waiver or ive misrepresented the us immigration process resulting in a BAN for life. My husband, son and daughter are both in the USA now. I am really worried and it is causing our family much stress. 

Does anyone have any experience with something similar? Should I be worried that I've always said 'NO' in the VWP, and on the DS260. My condition is well managed and as my psychiatrist has stated along with my GP i am of NO risk of harm to self or others.
