My wife who is a South Korean citizen is studying in America with a F-1 Visa and she is applying for marriage based permanent resident in America with me who is a U.S. Citizen. She used to live in China for 8 years as a University student (left China in 2015). Using I-485 she is applying for permanent resident. Do we need to submit criminal record certificate from S Korea and China or is it optional if she doesn't have any criminal record. Are there any documents she would need to obtain from China or S Korea? There is a lot of difficulty getting documents from other countries with COVID situation we are unable to go there due to quarantine.

Thank you so much for responding. Yes it is not a spouse visa, she is currently living in america and changing status from F-1 visa to permanent resident as a spouse of US citizen. Just wanted to double check as I didn't see it on the checklist but some sources are saying we need criminal record.
