  1. I'm sorry I have not been a very good Feb filer but my case has been so screwed up. I received my NOA1 on March 23 only after they sent a 2nd copy to the house because we had not received the 1st one nor the biometrics appt notification. Enclosed in the 2nd copy of the NOA1 was the biometrics appt letter with an appt date of March 15th which had passed. So we sent the notification in on the 25th requesting a new date and have yet to received a new date for her appointment. Just made an infopass appointment to see what is going on and also going to try a walkin appt to see if she can get it done that way. Keeping my fingers crossed

  2. I sent my wife's I-751 in Feb and was received on Feb 16th. I had to wait until the end of March to receive her NOA1 and we only received that after 3 phone calls to the USCIS and requested they send another one because the first one for some reason did not make it to my apartment. Along with her NOA1 we received the biometrics appt letter dated the 25th of Feb which obviously had long passed. So I sent the biometrics letter into the local USCIS office at the address listed on the letter to reschedule appointments. I also submitted a letter explaining what happened to and a copy of the envelope showing that the postmark was in March and I this was the reason she missed her appt. In addition I mailed a copy of the biometrics appt notice and the letter of explanation to the USCIS in Vermont.

It has now been 3 and 1/2 weeks and we have not received a new appt or anything. I don't know what we should do next and my wife is freaking out thinking something has gone wrong. Please can someone please give me some advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks

  3. After waiting for almost 7 weeks my NOA1 and Biometrics appt letter for my wife showed up. The appt letter was postmaked the 20th of March and the appointment date was for March 15th. Which is obviously passed, so I don't know what I need to do next. Will she be able to show up at the biometrics center and explain her situation and try to get it done then? Does she need to send the appt letter back in, and wait for a reschedule date? We are both kind of stressed about what to do because I have read that if you miss your appointment they will consider you case " Abandoned". PLEASE help if any one can give us some advice we would greatly appreciate.

  4. I'm getting kind of anxious about my wife's case we filed the case I-751 in Feb and it was received and processed into the system on the 24th of Feb. The money order was cashed on the 16th of Feb, BUT here is the problem I have yet to receive the NOA-1 letter or a biometrics appt letter. I have called the USCIS and spoke with a case officer in Vermont where I filed the case. I was told the letter was already sent out, and that it should have arrived already. They reordered another letter to be sent and gave me my wife's case number and ref# for the re-ordering of the NOA1 letter. I am very worried because I spoke with the case officer over 10 business days ago and still nothing has come. I confirmed the address with them but still nothing. I don't know what else to do this is the first time I am having a problem with the USCIS in filing for my wife's GC. If anyone has any advice or any words of wisdom I would really appreciate it.

Also is there any way to schedule the BIOMETRICS Appt without having received a letter for an appointment? I would like to try and move the case along on my own by trying to get the biometrics appt done. Thanks for any help that can be given

    7. Credit card statements

    8. Store cards

    9. Memberships

I don't have most of these documents because I was laid off some time ago and have been working an under the table construction job, and my wife is a student. And just to clarify before I get any questons about it I am a U.S. born citizen and the only job I could get lately is the construction job. So I don't have any of those things and my car insurance is just in my name. And we don't have any credit cards. Anybody have any ideas on additional evidence I could show.

  6. My wife entered on a K-1 visa and did her first biometric appt and received her Conditional GC without an interview. We are mailing in her I-751 packet next week and I had some questions. Does she have to do another Biometrics appt for her 10 year GC? I have read that a bunch of people have received their 10yr GC without a interview. Does anyone have an idea what or how they determine if you will do an interview?

The only evidence I am able to send in is Taxes, our Joint Lease, Affidavits(notarized from Family and Friends). I do not have anything else due to financial troubles. Is this enough?

  7. I have a question if any one else has encountered or heard of this problem. I followed all of visajourneys steps for filling out the forms double and triple checked them and even went so far as to put big pink post its on each form lableing it. I sent all the forms together in one big brown envelope with a cover sheet labeling the contents. Which were the !-484, I-131, and I-765. I only received NOA1's for the I131- and I 485 even though I applied for the I-131, I-485 and the I-765. Also I received all my NOA-1's at the same time but the I-765 was missing. So when I called the USCIS they told me they never received the I-765 and I explained everything was filed at once all together. She told me that all she could tell me to do was to submit the I-765. So then the same day when I get home I find in my mail box an RFE saying I did not send in my taxes which I did send all the way back to 2004. So my questions are as follows.

    1. When I resubmit the I-765 do I need to pay this time because the firts time was nocharge as long as I filed with the I-485?

    2. I already received a letter for my wife's biometric appointment do we still go if we also received a RFE because of them losing my taxes?

    3. Why would they send an RFE after the biometrics appointment letter isn't this out of order? wouldn't it be RFE then Biometrics?

  8. I am about to really lose it. Tommorow will be four weeks since we were apporved at my packet is still at the USCIS California office. I called them yesterday and all they told me was there was some kind of back log. So when I asked to speak with a supervisor they would not let me. I was so mad when the operator told me this I wanted to scream. So the operator said they would e-mail the contractor who takes care of shipping the documents and they would call me back. And guess what I never received a call back. So I am waiting for tommorow and first thing I am doing is going to my Congressman's office. This is totally abusrd I thought it was supposed to be days not months. Is any one else having the same problem????

    TB

  9. Still waiting on the NVC here, today is exactly three weeks since we were approved. I called the NVC today and they still have not recieved my case and told me that it could take up to 90days to recieve it. I am so pissed off because when I called the USCIS California office they told me that the packet has been in transit since the 25th. Man I hope they get this problem fixed ASAP.
