No it isn’t accurate. It’s an estimate as stated. It may take less or more. Just baseline for you to follow so you have a rough idea of what to expect. It isn’t exact

They were sent monthly. what is your DQ Date?

That’s surprising that they did not accept the translated document. Loads of people have submitted self translated docs and been approved but obviously every case won’t be the same. what embassy is it?

You would not be receiving your approval if you just filed your petition in October. Have you joined the October Filers group? They may be able to give you a better idea of when you’ll receive a response

Hello, my fiancé is from the DR as well. The passport has been taking long for everyone so it isn’t just a one off thing. The official estimate is 2 weeks but it can be anywhere from 2-5 weeks. Calling won’t do much cause it’s just about them issuing the visa at this point but it’s good to maintain contact at least 1 or 2 times a week just to see if there are any updates. Only thing you can do is check your car daily and see if it updates to Issued
