  1. Hello all,

My mother petitioned for my 2 adult unmarried sisters that are over 21 years old. She filed I-130 for each and they have both been accepted.

Each of my sisters received a bill for the AOS fee of $88.00 which has been paid. After we made the fist payment, we noticed that one payment of $88.00 satisfied both of the applications. This is the message that was online: the Petitioner of this case and a US Citizen, filed a petition for another unmarried son, unmarried daughter, and/or parent processing at the National Visa Center. As both petitions were at the National Visa Center concurrently, payment on the Related Case will satisfy the AOS fee requirement for this petition

Now each of them received a bill for $404 for the IV application fee. My question is, does each have to pay the $404 for this application, or will the same case apply her where one payment will satisfy both applications?

I'm hoping someone will know the answer to this, as I tried to search and don't see here cases of parents claiming their unmarried children over the age of 21.

    Thanks

  2. Hello everyone,

I'm writing to see if anyone who visits this page, has had the experience of claiming a child over 21. I'm looking to get info from a similar case and for someone who had their visa approved and has already migrated to the US. Preferably from Central or South America or the caribbean since this is my particular case and it seems to me that those cases get handled similarly, but I may not be accurate on this.

I'd appreciate if you can give me any info as far as the time it took for the case to be approved.

In the immigration page, the timelines contradict themselves and when I called immigration, the lady who talked to me told me she did not think those were accurate. So no luck there.

Thanks for any info I can get.

  3. I suggest you have hubby get a co-sponsor. It's not only he that has to sponsor you it can be someone else or ever more than one person.

    Good luck

My husband and I have all of these extenuating circumstances that are making this process very complicated and are making me crazy :wacko:

Firstly, it was smooth sailing (or should I say crawling) to get to this point of having an approved K3 and filing for AOS and EAD. Then the first hitch. My husband is self employed and his accountant creatively gave him so many business deductions and included many business expenses to offset his personal income that his tax return showed a -9000 for personal income! aha! USCIS was not happy about that. We don't own real estate and his primary asset is himself as he build houses. He does own tools and such but I don't think we can prove he owns 3 or 5 times the poverty limit in assets.

Now, I work for an airline and even though my K3 is approved and technically I've moved to the US, I return to Canada to work. I can prove current employment and income over the poverty limit, income tax return and pay stubs etc etc....but all inside CANADA not the US.

Does anyone know for sure whether USCIS will even consider my income? I technically contribute to our household though I make my income outside the country. One thing I can't prove is income will continue in the US. The problem, see, is that I can't transfer to the US without the EAD and SSN.... and I can't apparently get my EAD until I can prove my job will continue in the US! AHHHH.

I just wonder if anyone tried to include the immigrant's income made outside the country.

    thanks for letting me vent

  4. Hello everyone,

I've read here under the K1 visa chart, that some port of entries will stamp your passport with a termporary work permit if you ask them.

It mentioned JFK and NY airports. Does anyone know if these are the only POE that will issue this, or are there any others. I fiance would be coming from Central America so most likely the POE would be Miami or Houston. Has anyone entered any of these and received this work permit.

Would appreciate any insights. Thank you,

    Kitkat

  5. Something similar happened to me. I posted my I-129F on Friday June 29. TSC got it on Monday July 2. CSC received it on July 10 and mailed my NOA1 on July 11. I received it in the mail on July 20th.

I just happen to notice the check was cashed and got the case # from the back of it. 10 days later is when I got the actual notice in the mail.

    slowly but surely I guess.

I'm not a July filer, but I wanted to tell you all good luck and I hope you have a speedy process.
  6. In my case, I only sent emails that showed we communicate but nothing personal were in them.

I called immigration and the lady that spoke to me specified not to cross anything out. I had already crossed out numbers on my phone bills that did not apply to my finace or me, and I had to start over with those. Instead she adviced I mark with a dash on the side of the phone calls that pertained to each other. I did so and on a cover page in front of that I explained so.

They just want to see that you communicate.

    I hope this helps.

  7. Well I didn't fully explain all of the past 5 years.

That's why I thought maybe it was wrong. I read on here that you should not leave gaps.

That if for some period of time there was no employment you should state so.

Well Thank you for the reply. I hope it does not get returned.

    kitkat,

Why do you think that you failed to properly list employment?

I think the chances of your package being returned, or an RFE generated, due to this issue are virtually zero.

    Hello everyone,

I have a question about my G-325A form. What are the chances that my package with application I-129F will be sent back to me, because on the G-325A, I failed to properly list employment for my fiance's last 5 years. Some period of those five years he was unemployed. I only listed the employments he's had. So of course there are gaps in the application. Has this happened to anyone out there?

    Thanks

  9. You can translate them yourself and have the notarized.

when in doubt call the immigration 800 number. I do all the time. When they don't answer my question clearly, I hang up dial again and get someone else. Usually that solves my problem. They are very vague answering questions, but once in a while they can help and suggest things.

Speaking of denials I sent application I-129F last Friday, along with it I sent 13 pictures. however, I neglected to label all of them with exact dates, our complete names, and detail of the places. I did label like 5 or 6 this way but the rest are actually old pictures and I did not label them (can't recall dates because they are from 1998). My fiance and I go way back since I was 14 and he was 15, so lots of old pictures.

Can anyone tell me if this would be a reason for them to return my package asking me to label all pictures fully. I figure since at least some of them are, that they wont' bother.

    Thank for any feed back.

  10. I have a question and hope someone can help me.

Do you think I'll have any problems because I did not label all of the pictures I sent with the I-129F application? I did date and gave a brief explanation on some of them, but not all. In total I sent 13 pictures but only labeled like 6. It so happens my finace and I go way back since I was 14 years old and he was 15. So some pictures are old and I did not remember dates. I just vaguely labeled them.

The reason i'm asking is because I read on this forum that you should label the pictures with your name and your fiance's names, date, and a brief explanation. My package was in the mail by the time I read this.

Anyone have any feedback on this?

    Thank you,

    KitKat
