My CR-1 RFE disappeared as well and the status didn't change either. Hoping it's a good thing, but probably just a glitch in the system.

Yes will do. I guess the remaining question is if I am allowed to respond the RFE online. There is an option in myuscis to respond to that RFE but in the letter does not mention anything about being able to submit a response online, however, it does not say that I cannot respond online either. I originally submitted a paper application if that makes a difference...

You are doing the right thing.  If your wife was also born in Vietnam, the reason is they are checking to make sure you are not related.  Happens frequently coming from Vietnam to try to bring a relative.  

Oh I didn't think about that haha. She was actually born in Mexico and is fully latina. I sent them pictures of us and she doesn't look asian at all other than having black hair.

Since the I-130 is able to be filed online now, are we able to upload passport style photos (the 2" x 2") online? I submitted everything by mail since it wasn't available when I submitted the packet.

I'll echo.  Just respond as requested, but DO read carefully.  You may be looking at a list of possible things.  Context is King.  If you were born in Vietnam and they are REALLY requesting YOUR Birth Certificate, they'll need a certified translation too.  Why don't you post the actual words of the request, so the context is clear?

Right guys, I'm going to send them everything they requested just to be safe. Here's the actual text from RFE. I do have my certified translation, but I need to get my wife's translated. Here's the actual RFE text.

After about 8 months in NOA1, I received an RFE for passport photos and birth certificate of both myself and spouse. Seems like everything in the RFE is unnecessary at this point (waiting on NOA2) or they are requesting already sent items.

1.) You can see the passport photos I sent on the uscis page, someone scanned it in, so they definitely received it.

2.) I am a US citizen and I sent them all the scanned pages of my passport. Not sure why they need a birth certificate since I was born in Vietnam.

3.) My wife lives overseas so her passport photos and birth certificate are not needed until NVC right?

Would I be wasting time responding to the RFE and arguing my case against the requested items or should I send them everything requested? Don't want to risk a denial or another RFE. Thanks!
