  1. Yes that's a good sign. Meaning admin review is done. Coz same thing happened to my father. Under AP for almost 4 months. When i called the embassy, that's what they told me. But unfortunately, my mother is still on AP. They are in Manila right now to get the passport and do the medical again (for dad). It's another 2-3 months waiting again though coz he needs to undergo sputum again.

  2. We've been waiting for more than a month already yet til now both visa applications are still in administrative processing. I sent an email inquiring the status on wednesday, last week, and just got a reply...

"The cases are still pending administrative review. No additional documentation is required from you or the applicants at this time. We regret that we are unable to provide any guidance as to how long the processing will take.

Be assured that we will notify the applicants once the review is completed."

Nothing new as usual. Sick and tired of waiting. I want my parents to be here with me NOW! :( I'm about to lose my sanity here.... Just venting. "sigh"

  4. Both parents were interviewed August 1st. No other documents were asked from them, no 221g. We are on day 12 now and still waiting. The embassy's reply to my first e-mail was there's insufficient information. I replied back and asked what is still needed and got a respond just now that nothing is required to submit as of this time and that they will just contact my parents once the review is done. Patiently waiting here.

  5. you guys shud've waited for visa to be in hand before you book the ticket, cuz embassy can change its decision at anytime cuz they've gt right or excuse to put any individual on ap.. Hope your parents'll get visa soon.. GL :)

Yeah, I know. :( I got too excited when they were telling me about their interview experience... how well they did on their interview. Oh well, I can't do anything now but to wait.

  6. Nothing to worry about, They are backlogged and they don't wanna look bad. They will just finish some cases and issues it.They can't tell you approved then not approved lol.No worries..set back and wait for it.Relax

Thanks. I hope we get the visas before the 22nd or else a couple of thousands $$$ will be wasted. That's the problem right now. :((

  7. My parents had their interview on August 1st. NVC checklisted us and was informed that parents need to hand the corrected AOS (needed to correct the household size). My parents presented that during both the interviews with the Filipino interviewer and the CO, but they both told my parents that they have complete documents already and doesn't need to submit anything. The interview with the CO went fine. He even congratulated them and told them that their visas are approved. No 221g were issued.

Since the hour after their interview CEAC status changed from READY to Administrative Processing. It's been like that for a week now. I emailed the embassy and this is their reply:

"As you are aware, the applicants were interviewed by a consular officer on August 1, 2013. Because of insufficient information to process the cases to completion, the cases were referred for further review.

Consular officers need to be satisfied that all identity and relationship issues have been addressed before a final determination is made regarding visa issuance. We will notify the applicants once the review is completed."

I don't know what insufficient information they are saying. Could it be the corrected AoS? Which i doubt it coz both interviewers said, no more documents needed and their cases are complete. Maybe another background check? How long do we need to wait? The sad part here is that I already purchased 2 one way tickets, which are not refundable. :(

  8. I just checked on my visa status right now, it says, "THERE IS NO STATUS UPDATE AVAILABLE FOR THE PASSPORT NUMBER SUBMITTED" yesterday, the status was "STILL WITH POST"

I had my interview approved last week, Thursday August 02. I' thinking maybe the visa is already available for pick up but I didn't get any SMS from 2Go Travel. I tried reaching them and at the same time the embassy but I just can't get through.

What's your stat in CEAC? Does it say ISSUED? Try to track it at 2go website. Maybe you can get info in there.

  9. "Your case is under administrative processing. Please see the letter you received at your interview for more information. If you are required to submit additional documents, please submit them to the U.S. Embassy via any branch of 2GO courier service (Attn: Immigrant Visa Unit) together with a copy of the letter."

That's the one written on my status.

  10. Yes the status was Ready then changed to AP. I read in some threads that usually stat changes from AP -> Ready -> Issued. Does your Last Updated date keep changing daily? Mine was since interview date. But unfortunately didn't change today. So last touch was yesterday. If my stat won't change til thursday, I will email or call them.

  11. Hello. Just like you, I'm also waiting on my parents' visas. Interviewed on Aug. 1st and til now it says Administrative Processing on CEAC. It's been like that since August 1. It was last updated yesterday. I keep on checking it every day. It's really driving me nuts too coz I already booked their flights for the 23rd. CO said they're approved and doesn't need any additional docs. Parents tried handing them the checklist for AOS (correcting the household size) but was told that everything's fine already. I hope we get the visa soon.

  12. Hello there! im lyn from philippines and im new here. hope you help me.

Been applied my passport these few weeks but i put on travel purpose in passport is TOUR, is it ok to use in Fiance visa?

thanks for your help, i really appreciate it. have a good day. :)

    That's fine. That's what I did when I get mine... :)

  13. My Parents brought the appointment letter, 2x2 photos, passport, family pic(just in case they ask for it). and yes they did the interview together. Co asked who is the petitioner, where I live in US and employment. Really simple questions. It's just that my mom's name HIT needs verification from NBI. Good luck

Thank you. Now I'm kinda worried about my Mom's NBI. She got a "hit" too. She waited 2 weeks to get a clearance. Need to check the remarks, if it is, "no derogatory..." or "no record on file."

You're almost there. Just hang on. :)

  14. Sorry to hear about the delay of the release of your mom's visa. I hope it won't take that long.

Right now, I'm still waiting for the sched of my parents' interview. Result of dad's sputum culture will be out next week. I have few questions for you... hope you don't mind me asking. What other documents did they ask from your parents? Did they do the interview together? And what did the COs ask during interview? Thanks in advance. :)

  15. Hoping someone can help me. We are filling out the new I-864 form and are a little confused about the instructions. In the instructions attached, it states that you should put your income from item number 5 and put it into item number 6.c.

Why?! It's already in item number 5, and then in item 10 it asks you to total up 5, 6.c. Etc. but then you would be be totalling it twice?

My husband has just left one job and we are using his father as a joint sponsor, which is why in the image we have $90,000 in the total for item number 10. But what I am wondering is where to put his father, in number 6 or number 7?

And if we follow the I-864 instructions and put his income (0$) from 5 into 6.c, then do we put his name into 6.a and put SELF Into 6.b?

    What did you do?

    Also, anyone been reviewed recently?

    Thanks for your help!!

The question is, is his father lives in the same roof (a household member)? If yes, put your FILs information on part 6. If not a household member, FIL should fill out another I-864. And don't include FILs income in your hubby's I-864 (only if not a household member).

  16. 1. Yes. Before the week ends you'll get your CC email. I got mine, exactly 1 week after my case completion.

    2. Call NVC on Monday. They usually do the scheduling either last week or first week of the month. NVC will also send you an email about the interview date.

    3. Expect an interview date of 2nd week of August.

    4. You can go to SLEC as early as today. You don't need an appt to do the medical. Just make sure you have all the docs/fee needed.

    5. Packet 4, not sure about this. Maybe its the email from NVC telling us about our interview date and the instructions for the USEM interview.

  17. I received the CC email yesterday, and I'm expecting to get my date of interview (for August interview) on the first day of July (by calling NVC). Usually wait a week or less before you can get the appointmet letter.

  18. okkkkk guysssss i did call right now and they said everything is fine and they have reviewed my both packages and every thing is ok but they need my original birth certificate as we only sent the translated copy !!!!!! bommerheadbonk.gif silly me !!
