  1. That is also reflected in the table. Just last year, more than 4000 cases were cleared (They were in line for more than 33 month!).

but this year, 3 month has been the maximum wait time. I have attached the table to my first post. That is a good news for me, at least I know that the AP would take not more than 3 month!

I don't know about not taking more than 3 months, because my Mom was placed on Name Check for 4.5 years and no one did any thing. until we took USCIS to Federal court and sued them.
  2. I wanted to know how long a name check process take and I found "Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman" report. There is an interesting table in the report that shows no clearance has taken more than 3 month (as of may 2009) and that the majority of the cases were cleared in less than a month! (I am not sure if AP is the same as name check!). I also have spotted a few people in this website who were cleared in 25 to 30 days.

If you got a chance take a look at the pdf file.

The original report can be find here: http://www.dhs.gov/xabout/structure/gc_1245421061224.shtm

    IMPORTANT REMINDER REGARDING MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS

Medical examinations classified as "Class B (TB)" are valid for 3 months from the date the doctor signed the report. All other medical examinations classified as "No apparent decease or defect" are valid for 6 months after the doctor’s signature date. If your case is subject to further administrative processing, your medical report may expire during the process. In that case, you are required to renew your examination and submit an updated medical report to our office when you come here to receive your immigrant visa. Your visa validity will be limited with the validity of your medical report. If you plan to travel at a later date, you are advised to renew your medical report and get a visa with a longer validity.

  4. June 2nd, I checked NVC website and noticed that the option to pay the IV fee bill ($400) is available, so I went ahead and paid the money.

June 3rd morning, Checked the website. It was marked as PAID, so I went ahead and downloaded the Cover Sheet and sent all DS230 document to NVC.

June 3rd afternoon: I received an email regarding generation of IV Invoice!

since then, When I log in to the website, it is marked as Not PAID! and the options to print cover sheet or print the receipt are unavailable!

I am just worried it may cause delay in our process!

    any advice?

The other question is how I can find out if my AOS has been accepted without RFE?

    Thanks!
