  1. yall can pull me off the stuck list...no longer in ap visa is ready to be issued!!!!!!!!

Oh Thank God!!!! Many congrats...your visa is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY OVERDUE!

I am very happy for you!

By the way, what was the reason for 1year+ being in AP? Do you know? I sincerely hope it was not because of the sole fact that your fiance is a Pakistani citizen in the UK...let me know!

@ Magpie: Yes, you covered everything! :star:

i hate to be the one to say it...but ya that was pretty much the reason....he required additonal processing. name checks and security clearances

  2. Many congratulations, Linkin.

I hope your AP is swift and you are with your fiance soon.

Please keep us posted as to how long the AP takes.

I will now be eating DOS ppl ears about current status of my ap process.........i am very much positive that it is not taking that long anymore....

    Thanks rebeccajo :)

    You're welcome.

I'm seriously interested in your story as it continues to unfold. We read much about AP as it relates to consulates in countries who have 'less favored' status with the US Government. While I'm not a student of the minutia of Admin Processing, it has always seemed to me that the tortuous process is exacerbated in these countries due to poor technology, poor record keeping, corrupt local law enforcement and the like.

However, it can't always be said that just because a citizen of one of these nations applies at a 'favored nation' consulate that the process will be 'swift'. I am very good friends with a person whose Egyptian fiance spent many months in AP - his interview was conducted at one of the Canadian consulates. This situation occurred in 2005 and the gentleman in question also had a career that put him in a position for more scrutiny. Nonetheless, applying in London or Canada or any other modern nation who has a good political relationship with the US doesn't guarantee a swift visa.

If the process is quicker, however, than say AP through one of the Middle Eastern consulates, I think it does speak to the professional and unprejudiced manner in which a consulate conducts itself overall.

im living proof they dont process it ne faster in a "favored nation" i have a pakistani fiance who is also a student living in uk. we did our interview in london as well. they gave us the 60 day max talk as well.......10 months later we still n ap.....

  3. My husband is on Administrative Process 3 weeks after his interview which was on July 15 I would like to start a tracker for AP if anyone else is interested please send me your info:name, date of AP, country, and when you got the vsa and any other info that might be helpful this might help everyone get a understanding on timelines

hey throw me n the list too

  4. How is Sad Eyes doing? And what happened to our other "stragglers"??

Ooooh - almost time for me to graduate :D I wonder what colour I will be... As pink is already taken, a nice orangey yellow would be nice to match my beanbag :D

No word lately from sad eyes, and frankly, I was tired of the stragglers who never bothered to report back to us on their interviews. As I maintain the list I took the liberty of removing them! ;)

I will take you color suggestion on board in formulating the April Graduates list!! :D

im still alive and kickin! i've been in london for the past 2 weeks for a little R & R with my sweetie. and yes im still on AP with everyday being 1 step closer til the visa n hand.

  5. Sad Eyes reported in a few weeks ago, saying they'd made no progress. Hopefully soon!

It doesn't seem to be a common occurence though. Isn't it all to do with fingerprint checking or something? (or am I being dumb)

I thinks its much more related to the fact that her fiance is Pakistani.

And you're right, AP is not very common in the London Embassy.

Ahh that makes more sense. I didn't know that. I'm not saying it's fair, but I can understand a little better now.

YES im still here and on AP. i give dos a call once a week and i get the same old generic answer....he requires special security cleareance...they wont answer ne questions on y...but like juelz said it is probably b.c he's pakistani and i say he fits "the profile." i have a trip planned for apr 22 and i sure would like for everything to be over so he could fly back with me and our son...so let us all pray it will be over soon so i dont go crazy :D

  6. well i wish i could say i was approved but i can't...he's stuck in AP until his name clears... :crying:

I am so sorry. They have approved the case pending name clearance though right? Hopefully those checks will clear soon. Did they give any indication of how long it might be?

    Good luck.

from what he tells me..it could be days up to 6 weeks....i dont know im confused myself. i thought that all this was suppose to be done prior the interview...but he did say once everyting cleared he would get a visa soo thats the bright side of the story

  7. Well just want to say good luck to everyone else who's in london on monday. I going early tomorrow morning and staying at the marble arch hotel. so I'm not late !!! taking my laptop with me hopefully will get to call in on VJ

GOOD LUCK TO U TOO BUDDY! hopefully we all will be bring back some of those big red Approvals
