  1. alright, if not i-130 .....what about eb-1 visas

....anyone have any take on that.

    An Alien of extrodinary ability.

You said you have yet to graduate college!

But you still have a 10 year ban.

So if you left now, or when you have completed college, took ten years to become an acknowledged expert in your field, you could well qualify.

Hah yes thats true, but I still don't get that 10 year ban (I'll go research this on my own, so everyone won't have to waste their time, in explaining it to me). Is it because I came here illegally, especially when I was a child till now. I mean I practically consider myself being born here. From kinder garden till now, I think it is absolutely ridiculous for that to happen, really I do.

Heres a little back story of how I came here, In the Philippines my grandpa was a cop, a General well-known in his community, no joke, never was a dirty cop like the others, ask any other Filipino, corruption from a cop in PI is a common thing. His field was communications. He would be the one who would talk to allege criminals etc etc. to negotiate practically. I am unsure if they (my family was telling me the truth), upon a wish or request from my grandpa . We came here on a visitor's visa, then of course expired. We over stayed our visit. I have social security that says not valid to work. My grandpa was working for the U.S. embassy at the time of when he was at the verge of retiring and I guess he became real good friends with every one their and did they him the favor back, by bringing his family here. This is back in the 70s-80s. I was barely 3 or 4...I remember coming here around 88 or 89 I forget. Well boiler thanks again for the much needed info, just a little story to explain more about me, rather then being vague on some parts.

  2. You do not say which Country you are from.

But you must be unmarried as your mother could ot petition you otherwise.

10 years plus is the current timline, but if you are in status in the US it would be next to impossible to maintain that. Usual to look for a job opportunity, assumin you are on a F1 throught OPT and get the Employer to sonsor you for a H1.

If you are here illegally then you have a 10 year ban to serve first outside of the US anyway.

10 plus years, how horrible. You can say I am here illegally, but I came here to California at a young age, I mean I came here when I was young. Not a teenager, young as in a toddler or close to it and for anyone to send me back to serve a ban for something that was not my fault, would be wrong, but I guess that's how the system works now a days right? From kinder garden till college that is to now, proves I've been here for a long time. No criminal background what so ever, but Ill just gut it out from here.

F1 through OPT? what is that? H1 yeh I know about that, when I get my diploma and a couple certificates after college, Ill be set, hopefully. But so far thanks for the information I received so far.

Well I guess you can say I am here illegally, I came from the phillipines and I dont even know

  4. you would need to give us some more info about yourself.... like how old are you?? are you married???? what country do you come from???

All of the above can make a big diffrence to who long you will have to wait for a Visa to become available to you....

    Kez

I figured someone would say that...well I am 23 years old I reside in California. I came here when I was 4-5 years of age. My mother is a green holder and it will be a year by the end of this month. She petitioned my brother and I the first week of July 2006. Received NOA1 a month after which is in August. Btw I am going to graduate college by the end of June 08. I hope my short bio will get me some answers because I really do need answers.

  5. family based visa are i130s right, not there, not just in Philippines or any else where, right? I mean I am petitioned under a family based visa and I live in California since I moved down here at the age of 5. I've been here since i was a little kid and now I am 23 and if he does this, it will just ruin everything. I at the verge of graduating this year of college in june of 08 and if my case is approved then I can transfer to a uc school and what I am aware of my status is pending and I am just a sitting duck wasting my potential after college is over with, where if this happens, I don't know where Ill end up. oh man..I am a grown man, but when I read this I was angered and cried for the sake of #######, it's not fair..and nothing is never fair these days and all is left now is hope. hope for the best.

  6. Hey every one My daugters papers have been approved and now i get to go through all that fun NVC stuff again! good luck to everyone else.

Okay now, if you don't mind, I am wondering how long the process took from when noa1 was received to how long it took for them to get approval to recieve your noa2 for your daughter. Please. thank you id gladly appreciate it.

  7. I submitted I-130 for my stepson almost two month later than my first I-130 (please see my timeline). Will VSC go by my second I130's receipt date which is 11/24/06?

Can I ask why the noa2 on your step son came in so fast. My mom petitioned me and i recieved my noa1 in August and now I still haven't gotten my noa2. thanks

  8. Today I received an Email saying that my I129f wich was on the National Benefit Center, was transfer to Vermont, Is this good or bad? On Vermont is where they have my I130 since 06/26/06. :( I129f transfer from national benefit center to vermont

On 06/26/06 I sent my I130 to Vermont and received NOA1 on 06/30/06, after that I haven't received anything else, I'm always calling USCIS office and they just tell me to wait 3 more months and it been 9 1/2 months already, why is this taking so long. My husband live in Dominican Republic and my biggest problem is that in my country the embassy is so slow it takes them about 2 years just to give you an interview. That means that I have to wait around 2 1/2 to bring my husband to US.

    Hello!

If you want to still pursue the I-130 to see where it is at, use these shortcuts below. I learned real quick on this site. If you find your local congressman, go to his website and fill out the form for help with immigration and fax it to them. They will contact immigration for you and get an answer. The best part is they will actually look for the file, not give you the run a round if you try to go in yourself. When Congressmen or Senators get involved, things seem to happen. They are still looking for mine, but at least they are LOOKING!! Good idea that you sent the other one in. Kind of like gives you another chance, I wish I had done that too. I still may.....but waiting it out a little longer!

Hope I copied and pasted these right!

I am new here because I am tired of waiting and I am looking for answers. I sent it in july 28 and recieved it in August and still no approval. Btw sent it to California, plus it's local. So now I am curious, (egyptian wife) what does it actually do when you contact your congressman or sentaor. I am curious if you don't mind me asking, have you recieved your noa2 by doing this kind of action. thanks
