  1. I checked my pending I-751 yesterday, and for a split moment I was happy. It looked like my application was touched. What was wierd is that the application date said 10/27/2007. I sent my application on 12/24/07, then the other items that I still had on my screen like my EAD card and I-130 were totally different dates. Maybe this was a computer glitch. Has this happened to anyone before? And here I was thinking they got to my application!

    ???

So what's are thinhk about it????

  2. Hello!

Just a quick question. I am looking at the affidavits and will send the samples to my friends so they can help me out. I saw that there is the #A123456789 on the sample letter. Is it actually our Case # (A#)? Thanks! :)

We sent three affidavits that had written by my husband's family members with our I-751. They didn't write my A# on them, because they don't know my A#. And I really didn't want to let them know my A#. Good luck.

  3. Hi all, I received a letter from USCIS. It says "Congratulation! Your request for the removal of the conditional basis of your permanent resident status has been approved..." and so on. I think it is an approval notice. But I have seen a someone's approval notice before, it looked like a Notice of Action and it was very official paper. But my approval notice doesn't have any stamps, treadmark of USCIS (or Department of Homeland Security). Just white wrinkly paper, and it looks very weird that this notice is from Chicago. I sent our I-751 to VSC. There is a sticker of acting center directer on it. I hope it is official approval notice, but I'm very confused now. Any advice, information and suggestion are highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  4. Hi, My wife is the US Citizen and I am the immigrant. Ideally she would come with me for my Biometrics appointment but she already made an appointment before we received the Biometrics appointment time/date. So, she wanted to know is she needs to go with me.

    Thanks.

I brought my husband as a translator, and they (ASC) accepted him. My husband always stayed with me while I was there (ASC). Good luck

  5. OK. So we've made it this far without any RFEs. But his pisses me off.

    We sent:

    3 years of tax returns

    Joint leases throughout our marraige

title and morgtage papers saying we bought a house together.

8 months of current utility bills

joint car insurance bills for 2.5 years

proof we are both certified to be foster parents

proof we are both members of our church

We do NOT have joint checking accounts.

So what more...besides affidavents from others (can I use friends and family?) do they want?

I'm pregnant...which really doesn't prove anything since the baby isn't born yet. But should I include that evidence as well. What else can I possibly send them.

We also received RFE, and sent the same stuff we sent last time in July. We filed our I-751 in June 2007 to TSC. It was transferred to VSC in February 2008. Finally we received an email from CRIS on August 29, 2008. It said "Current Status: Card production ordered". 10 yrs card doesn't get our mailbox yet, we have to wait a bit more. We really hope our long journey of I-751 is finished, and all filers on USCIS have a short and best (no RFE, no misprint card...) journey. "hang in there!"

  6. i did called them and did went to uscis office in person they said they will send me an email on this 20 feb so waiting despresly for that will update what happened

I just checked your timeline, you have lo---ng journey of I-751. You did everything what I can think of. So I don't know what to say, I have no idea about your situation. But I'd like to cheer you up...I hope you will receive approval letter and 10 years GC asap. Good luck

  7. Hello,

I have two questions regarding the I-751 and I am hoping that someone provide some information.

    1. Does the affidavit have to notarize?

    2. My wife moved from Michigan to Louisiana about a year and a half ago. Do we have to notify anyone that we changed our address? If so, who? and which form are we suppose to use?

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Cazwillis

    1. --- Lots of people said we do not need to notarize it. but I think it's better than not notarized...so I sent two notarized letters (from my husband's grand parents) with our I-751. it's my opinion.

    2. --- AR-11 for immigrant, I-865 for sponser. you can find them on Immigration Form page of USCIS website. they're free!

    Good luck

  8. The NOA1 letter for the I-751 extends your conditional green-card status for 1 year, you carry the letter and expired green-card to allow re-entry from a travel over seas.

If your husband is in the employ of the US government, time living over seas is not counted against residency time for citizenship.

I would contact USCIS and see if living out of country while us citizen is working for the government would affect your LPR status.

Thank you for the replay and advice. I understand. I think I need to make an appointment and see (ask) the USCIS officer.

    Thanks

  9. Hi, all B) It's been a long time. I'm afraid that I don't have any good news now. My status is still sitting tight so far. I don't receive any action, letter and email from TSC since 7th of July. Anyway I have a question. My GC expire is 2nd September 2007. We (My husband and I) are going to go to overseas, and live there for 4-5 years. Because my husband got order of government job. I thought I would receive my 10 year GC before leave U.S. But unfortunately it's hopeless right now :crying: I have read I-751 instruction and USCIS website...but I couldn't find answer. Any advice and suggestion are highly appreciated.

My question is "Do I need to get passport stamp before my GC expires?".

And...would you tell me the reason too?

    Thank you.

  10. Hi Uruma,

Thank you very much for the effortly response. I received the notice stating the change on my part but not my wife. I am not sure what NOA i received but will check on that tonight.

Please let me know about the info to where we can find out if the change has been taken place. I just want to make sure before i send in the I-751 form so that there is no confusion as to what address we currently at.

    cheers

Hi, We went to ASC on the 6th. And then I asked the ASC officer about our address change and how we can make sure about it. But the ASC officer didn't know about that. I think he is the person in charge of biometrics and he can't say anything except about biometrics. I think you can make an appointment through USCIS website (INFO-PASS). However, do you remember our Change of Address time line? I received NoA-1 and NoA-2 of I-751 at our new address. I would recommend enclosing NoA of I-865 and receipt number of AR-11 (if you're going to send AR-11 online, you'll get that) with I-751.

    Good luck!

  11. I'm very glad that you join me if you have time. I received NoA-2 and I have some questions. I found it has new header words on it..."TCR (blank)" and "CODE 3". I've been searching about that, but I couldn't find out. I'm just wondering...just wondering, but I really want to know that  Would you tell me what are them if you have some information, please? I'm afraid if I took your time.
    That's only for biometrics code.

Thank you for your reply ;)
