Have not been on awhile. My fiance will be here in 3 weeks. I am not sure how to bring up this topic but did anyone talk about with SO on how to handle the family and sending money back home to help out the family.

I was wondering how everyone handled this or if it is even a problem. We have talked about it in a round about way but I don't if I am being unreasonable in my thinking. I understand it is a poorer country with little oppoutunities and stuff.. But what is reasonable and unreasonable? Maybe I am a spoiled American girl that is used to bein independant and not having to need help from others but I do have a job and blah blah.

Just wondering how everyone handles or how each couple decided on what to do without sounding like a selfish person.

I have not been on here for awhile. Fiance is having problems with a charge on the police certificate. It says that he has a pending court case from almost 10 years ago. He never knew about this and is trying to get it resoloved. If he went ahead to the embassy with this case pending would it be a problem with the embassy should he wait to get it cleared up or proceed with the embassy and take his chances?

On info on parents place of residence. One parent is deceased? Do I put deceased or last place of residence.

Also I have a document from my fiance's country stating maritial status as being single never married. It is a country issued document basically stating single and freee to marry.

Should I include this with the 1-129F or not?

Currently I have all my mail delivered to a Post Office Box. Do you think on form I-129f and G-325a it is okay to use this or should I use my home address?

Does fiance need a original copy of my birth certificate when they go to the interview? What other things does fiance need in original form for consulate interveiw?

how long is the german police certificate valid for? Also can someone deported from germany able to get a police certificate?

As long as a couple can communicate in any language it is fine. Nationality does not speed things up.

AP/AR= Administrative Processing / Administrative Review.

This happens frequently in 3. world countries and in a lot of embassies routinely. At any stage the case goes into AP/AR for review like background checks, security checks, document verification and home investigations. This happens mostly after the interview at the embassy level but sometimes

occurs at the NVC or USCIS level.

There is no timeframe, no explanation and we call it the black hole. It can last a few weeks to months or longer. We have been in AP for 8 month now.

Search for others from your country and you can get an idea time wise but each case is unique.

In the meantime read, read, read the forums.

Also what do you mean my home verification? what will they find at the persons home?

I believe this is my biggest fear in this whole process. How to know someone is in the relationship for a happy life together or a free trip to america?

Do you think being of the same nationality speeds or helps the whole K-1 Fiance process? My fiance and I are the same nationality, there is a year age difference. We are the same nationality but from 2 different areas and me online in a chat room.

Also does having a good income help the process also? I do well over 60K plus bonus. Should I show savings to be safe or should I just use income.

I have not filed yet and am nervous about the timefram it will take.

Speed up the process? No. But it may help you avoid AR or AP. Which I guess could mean the process would be sped up.

If your income meets the minimum requirements, than that is all you have to show. Its not necessary to show savings or other assets.

What is AR & AP mean? Yes, I am a US Citizen by birth. Fiance does not speak english, we communicate in Albanian over the web and telephone. Does lack of english a problem? I am fluent in Albanian and can also read and write the language.
