  1. wanna file n400 now my i751 is pending since april 2006 (TSC) married with a us citizen, i heard if i file n400 do you think on my interview on a n400 they can approve my i751 , and another thing do should i take my with me on the Interview, And last thing should i E-File or mail it.

Have they given you a reason why they haven't given you a response on your I-751? I have also been waiting since early 2006 for I-751 approval (NSC) so I wrote them a letter inquiring about the delay. NSC wrote me back and gave me a new 13 digit reference number - it's a special number for those who are beyond the normal processing times and said to keep waiting. Also, they said you can schedule an infopass appointment and get a second extension letter to allow for travel if your first 1 yr extension letter is expired (which mine is).

  2. Our NOA letter that extends travel ability for a year expired in May 07. This happened because we recieved an RFE which of course added time on to our process, and now it has been over a year since we submitted the I-751. I'm wondering if anyone has ever recieved a second notice of action letter that would extend travel ability for another year (a second year) while the I-751/RFE is processing.

    Thanks!

  3. Hi all,

As posted previously, I rec'd an RFE in late April. We sent our response package to TSC, which was rec'd by them on May 31st. Does anybody know, or could anybody tell me approximately how long it takes to hear back in an RFE situation?

I had not signed up for e-mail updates until recently, so every day I don't receive an e-mail I am freaking out; silly, I know. Any advice/experience appreciated.

I recently asked a simliar question. I received a RFE in Dec 06, and sent the NSC the further info in Dec 06, and confirmed their receipt of the further info. I still have not heard back with a response. 6 months it's been. USCIS website says that if you recieve an RFE then your processing time starts over from when they receive your info. So, if TSC has a 6 mo backlog, and they recieved your info in May then yo ushould have an answer in November. The website basically says sets you back as if you are just not submitting your I 751 form. The thing is, I have read previous posts in this forum where people have submitted thier additional info and gotten a response like 2 months later...so who really knows.

  4. So you have never received the NOA extending his greencard by 1 year??? I would be making an infopass appointment to find out what is going on....

    Kez

he did recieve the notice of action not long after we submitted the I-751 back in march 06, and a 1 yr extension letter so he could travel, but of course that expired a few months ago. we also got a special reference number for applications that have taken over a year. (again, this is because they asked us for additional info, which takes extra time). still, not once has anyone mentioned the biometrics or sent us a letter with an appointment! does everyone have to do biometrics before getting the 10 yr greencard?

  5. Hello, my husband sent the forms I-751 in mar 06, and in dec 06 we received a request for additional info. the NSC received our additional info in dec 06, which, according to the website means the wait time starts over from there. throughout all of this we have never received any letters or info a about biometrics appointment. why is this? (my husband did biometrics when he got his 2 yr conditional greencard - is this why they haven't asked us to do it again, or does everyone do it twice?) it seems that in this forum people are having biometrics appointments between submitting the I-751 and receiving the 10 yr greencard though. should i be concerned? thanks!
