Anybody here who has been reissued a replacement visa which expired due to Covid? Please share your experience, I cannot get a respond from the embassy. This is an immigrant visa for my dad? Thank you all

This frustrates me as they told me to email the copy of visa and the request letter. Now I just found out that I need to mail the expired visa back to the embassy. Then wait for further instructions who knows when. Thank you all for your kind response.

If its IR5 then not until next year as it is currently banned
yes, its IR5 for my father's visa. As what I understand, it has to be processed the same fiscal year. His visa expired last July 2020.

Hi! Anybody here processing a replacement visa for expired visa due to COVID? I got the response below. My question is how would I submit a new application online when it's already completed? Please advise what to do I'm so confused in all these. What is the timeline for the process be like? Should I mail the expired visa first? How to schedule the medical? Thank you all for your help.
Applicants will need to submit a new application (DS-260) and pay another immigrant visa application processing fee. In addition, the applicants may need to submit new supporting documents, such as a new medical examination and police certificate. Please return the unused, expired visa and visa package (if applicable) to the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines once 2GO resumes services. Requests to reissue or replace visas are considered on a case-by-case basis, and all applicants are required to re-establish their eligibility; there is no guarantee that the applicants will receive new visas. -
thank you all for the response.

Does anybody know what to do if the visa and medical were expired, my father didn't able to travel because of Covid. Please advise?I've heard some lawyer talking if you have been issued a visa you can travel to US. If I can request for a reissuance of visa, should he take his medical again? As for my mom, I'm supposed to schedule her for interview but as for the new policy extended, there is no point for her and as I understood they won't be issuing any immigrant visas. Would her chance to get an interview expired?
Thanks for all the help in responding this inquiry.

Hi
I m in the same situation, we had our immigrant visa issued on Dec 2and 2019 ,which is valid till 2nd june 2020, we also had our tickets booked to go to US on 31st March but we cancelled it due to travel ban in US.
My question is are immigrant visa still eligible to travel at this moment ,as we are family of four n getting reissued our visa is too much money involving process.we need to redo the medical as well as pay the visa fees again.
Are immigrant visa holders allowed to travel during the travel ban period ?
You guys should be able to travel to US as soon as they lifted the ban. They still letting few international travel to US. Hopefully by May it will slowly go back to normal. When it comes to medical you think this still be good?

Again, his medical is valid until the expiration of his visa. Those two dates are one and the same. He can arrive anytime prior to the visa expiration without problem
Thats good to know. It lifted the stress. And now another wait for my mom to get her interview. Thank you so much.

He was told 90 days only. Would this create a problem if I have him travelled to US once Philippines raise the lockdown. His visa is good till July.

Hi all! First, I wanted to verify the 2020 expiration of medical. Is it only valid for 60 days, correct? My father was not able to travel to US due to Covid and now his medical expired. I emailed St Lukes and they have no idea how to handle this situation. Does anybody have the same situation? Should my father need to take medical again? Does anybody know if we can request an extension? Thank you all in advance.

Anyone doing the same? I know we have to submit new DS260, Pay fee again, doing medical again. It took them awhile to reopen DS Form so I can resubmit it, now i have to figure out when I can submit the payment online since its not open. Please share any experience. The process in getting medical where I don't have invitation letter. And by the way, the expired visa is over a year. Thank you so much y'all.
