I appreciate all the answers so far. I read on USCIS website that cruises to ports that are US territories (US Virgin Islands, Guam Puerto Rico, etc) do not need an advance parole. So does that mean my fiance and I can fly domestic within US territories with K1 visa? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated as we are brainstorming honeymoon options 😃

Hey guys,
I'm filing for K1 visa as petitioner for my fiance and we are brainstorming honeymoon ideas. Has anyone had any experience or know whether someone with a K1 visa can go on a cruise after getting married to petitioner in USA? I know we would file for green card shortly after getting married but since cruises don't really go through immigration, is it ok for K1 visa holders to go on cruises while waiting for green card? thank you all so much for any help 😃

Hi all, this may sound kind of particular but I had prepared my K1 initial packet to send to USCIS this week and I prepared it in a binder with clear sheet protectors and page dividers. However, as I was going over everything with my friend, she told me that USCIS is expecting me to send just the papers with 2-hole punches at the top. Is this true? I have seen many videos of people preparing their packets with binders and nice presentations. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

my understanding is unlimited support because I am filing I-129F for K1 so that means I have to be 100% financially supporting my fiance as he won't be able to work when he arrives to USA

I am having trouble understanding what pg 4, part 3, item 38 on the I-134 form is asking me. Whether I intend or not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in part 2? What does that mean? How am I supposed to answer that question? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated 😃

Hello all,
I plan to marry my fiance in the Dominican Republic where he lives. We will receive the marriage license at the courthouse over in his country. However, in order to apply for the CR1 visa in the States, will we have t get the marriage license translated to apply for his visa? Or is the Spanish license sufficient? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hello all,
How long did you all wait to file for CR1 visa post marriage? My fiance and I will marry in Dominican Republic and plan to apply for CR1 visa immediately when I come back to USA. I am concerned for what evidence to include for bona fide marriage when we would have just gotten married and wouldn't have much evidence beside our marriage license. Any thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, so I am new to this whole process and plan to bring my future spouse from Dominican Republic to USA. He already has a tourist visa (B2 visa I believe) and has traveled to USA many times before we even met. Will the fact that he has a tourist visa change the process to file for CR1 visa? Will it make a difference regarding timeline of paperwork approval?
Thanks in advance 😃

Hi friends!
So I just received my NOA1 in the mail today. I see multiple dates listed in the letter such as received date and notice date. Which date is considered the official date of NOA1? Received date, notice date, or date received in the mail?
Thanks for your help 😃
