  1. Hello,

My fiancé and I are planning to get married on Aug 3rd and we will be filing our AOS paperwork a few days after our wedding. Another friend of mine is getting married in Mexico mid-December and looking at the AOS timelines, Lizel may not have her GC by then. I was planning on submitting the AP documentation for the dates that we will be in Mexico. My understanding is that the AP will allow Lizel to re-enter the U.S. but I cannot find a firm answer on what she will need to enter Mexico. If anyone from the Philippines has traveled to Mexico prior to receiving the GC, what were the requirements that you had to undertake? Thanks in advance for any information.

    Thanks,

    Larry & Lizel

  2. hi to all VJ members,

my friend is having her interview on may 22, and she requested her police clearance from HK and singapore last month, will it be sent directly to the USEM in maniLa or to her, and what if the police clearances will not arrive during her interview, what will happen to her visa? she will be accompanied with her fiance during her interview......

anyone have the same experience like this??

    thanks...

    Hello,

We had to get a police clearance from Singapore. The mailed it to the address that we listed on the CNCC form. It took about four weeks to get the CNCC back from Singapore. I would suggest calling them to inquire about the processing. You can find there number in this link. I am not sure what will happen if you don't have it for the interview, I would assume that they would delay issuing the visa until received.

  3. Lizel and I just stayed at the Tropicana Apt Hotel in Manila and it was very nice. The one bedroom apartments have a full kitchen, living room and dining room. It was walking distance to Robinson and like a 60 peso cab ride to the embassy. It cost $230 to stay there for four nights. The kitchen is really nice, we went to Robinson and bought four days worth of food and cooked almost all our own meals and saved quite a bit not eating out all the time.

    Samby,

Hello Again! I was curious how they sent the CNCC back to you? You mention in an earlier post that they sent via registered mail. Did you notice if that was through the normal Singapore/Philippine mail or did they use a private carrier like DHL or LBC? Also, did you or your Fiancé have to sign for the CNCC when they delivered it to your location? Thanks Again!

    Thanks,

    Larry

    Hi Larry,

It was sent back as Registered Mail - signature required. Through normal Philippine Postal Service.

    Warm Regards,

    Samby

Thanks Samby! I called the Singapore Police and they gave me the tracking number. Hopefully we should have it in a few days.

  9. she (call center agent) transferred me to the immigrant visa unit and told me that they are the one who handled the document verification, and then they told me that there's no need to confirmimg my docs as long as i received a confirmation from delbros.

    Hello..

I've called Delbros this afternoon and asked to be trasferred to their Document Verification Department..

Then I asked the person who answered me about the status of my payment.

He asked me my case number, name, and date paid...

    I paid last March 25...

Then he told me that it will be forwarded to the NSO this April 14.

So It means that they will start the process by April 14.

But I will still call them on April 15 to check the status of my payment.

Hope this will give you an idea.

Good luck to your interview. :)

i called delbros today and they told me that they will be forwarded to nso by apil 14.

    thanks a lot!!!

I called Delbros as well and they told me the same, that they will forward to the NSO on April 14.

  10. Hi to all, i called Delbros today 02-339-2761 asking if my documents has been verified, and they tell me that they are just responsible for the delivery of the visa and that they have no access about the document verification (???)...they tell me that i should rather call the usem and they give me this # 1-909-101-7878 (the number i called to scheduled my interview)...then i did called this # and the usem call center operator at the immigrant visa unit tells me that once i received a confirmation from Delbros (This is to acknowledge the deposit you made etc...) theres no need to confirm if my docs has been verified as well as to fax the receipt to the usem immigrant visa unit, just bring the receipt at the time of the interview...that's all they said to me...

I'm just confused... as i've read some of the story here in vj that we need to confirm if our docs has been verified and for that it all went well at the time of the interview and no more waiting for you're docs to be verified.

So what was the real score about this document verification???

    Hi phicha,

I called Delbros yesterday to inquire if they notified the USE that that Lizel had paid her doc. verification fee on 3/28. The lady that answered the phone asked for our case number and I gave it to her. She responded with, "Not Yet Here” I am not sure what that ment. Lizel did call on 4/2 and they verified that payment was received. After that she told me to call the USE at 1-909-101-7878 and basically would not answer any additional questions. I asked at least 4 times if they notified the USE of the doc payment and all she would say is call the USE. I plan to call Delbros back today and ask for the Document Verification Department. Reading all the posts, there are lots of VJ members that are getting delayed because Delbros or the USE is simply not doing their job in the proper manner. I plan to keep calling everyday, until the proper steps have been put into motion.

    Thanks,

    Larry

  14. I remember my first trip to the Philippines; I landed in Manila and had to transfer over to the domestic airport. I was so excited to finally be there in Manila, that I immediately changed US to PHP and went outside to look for a taxi. I was greeted by a guy in a white shirt that had a badge on and he asked me if I needed a taxi. I told him yes and he said follow him and that it would be 500 PHP. I asked him how long to the domestic airport and he said 15 minutes, so thinking about how much a taxi cost in the US, I really did not care. We waited for a few minutes, I paid him, I jumped in the taxi and like 5 minutes later I was at the domestic terminal. Lizel was having a lot of fun over this the entire time I was in Cebu. She did teach me the way with taxi drivers and took very good care of me to make sure that we did not get ripped off. On each one of my three trips there, there is always some taxi driver trying to make some tricks. So are small tricks, just trying to add on a few extra pesos and some are much larger.

  15. For those who are waiting for an interview date at USEM.

I just got off the phone with USEM.

They gave me an interview date on April 22nd @ 7:30 am

Congratulations!! We also got an interview date of Apri 29 at 7:30 am. Did they also tell you there they no longer mail out packet 4 and that it had to be downloaded from the website? Lizel want to go take her medical next week and I am trying to determine what she can use to show proof.

  16. Thanks so much for the replies. I will try to start on this as soon as possible. But it

seems that it cannot be sent until the NOA2 and packet 4 is approved and delivered.

This procedure seems so ridiculous that it cannot be checked on as part of the NBI or immigration approval

I hope you finally got your visa approved airich.

    thanks again everyone

    Adobocrazy,

There is absolutely NO NEED TO wait for the NOA2. In fact, if you wait that long, you very well may not have the CNCC from Singapore in time for your embassy interview. Just go to the Singapore web site, follow the instructions to fill out their form, include the required additional documentation and the bank draft. Send it away today. Don't wait.

    Regards,

    Samby

    Samby,

Hello. I am curious what documentation you provided to the Singapore police dept. to show proof that you needed to obtain a CNCC? I have read other posts where the CNCC would not be issued until the appointment letter was faxed over because they wanted proof that another governmental agency was requesting a police clearance. We just about have all of our documentation ready to go; I was just waiting on the letter from the Embassy. Thanks for your insights on this process!

    Thanks,

    Larry

  17. My Fiancé was also working in Singapore for a year, we are planning to send the Application for Certificate of No Criminal Conviction (CNCC) as soon as we get packet 4 in the mail or she goes to St. Lukes to pick it up. I went to Wells Fargo here in the U.S. and they issued a bank draft in Singapore Currency on the spot and I have already sent it over to Lizel. Below is the link where you can find all the requirements. It sounds like it takes the two weeks or so to issue the CNCC.

    http://www.spf.gov.sg/epc/cert_issued.htm

  18. In my opinion its fine because your fiancee only needs to send in a text message with her name, case number, date & time of deposit as indicated in the deposit slip. You will just have to find the instructions on the US embassy website. I paid my doc verification 2 months before the interview date and I was not put into AR. Just tell your fiancee to call Delbros to confirm that they received her text message and her deposit.

    Thanks Raquel!! :)

  19. Hello VJ members!

Hello. My name is Larry and I have been here a VJ for awhile reading all the information regarding K1, yet rarely post. Thanks to everyone for their wealth of information, I could not imagine trying to figure all this stuff out alone. As of last Friday our petition was approved by the NVC and they gave me the MNL case number over the phone. Using the DHL tracking tip, I believe that our petition is now in Manila and we are just waiting on the interview date. I plan to start calling the embassy next week to try and obtain the interview date. I was thinking about having Lizel go pay the 650 Delbros fee now so that they can begin processing all their paperwork. I was just curious if this would be OK, since we don't have an interview date yet? I was thinking that by the time that Delbros forwards the paperwork over to the NSO, we will be in the system and have an interview date. Any thoughts on this?

    Thanks,

    Larry
