Congratulations Ali e Jeff! How about online status on USCIS website? Has it changed at all after you received your card?

I checked again my online status today and it is still initial review...nothing changed there yet.

Card received by mail on December, 24th. Really nice.

Anyway, did you check your online status again after received the approved letter? has it changed?

I signed up for email updates too and haven't heard anything so far. Did you provide the correct email address?

And it is from Seattle Office.

They are not very consistent on their way to inform their costumers, it is always different.

I hope you get yours before holidays, that would be nice.

Hey Everybody,

We received a letter by mail yesterday, a Notice of Removal of Conditional Basis of Lawful Permanent Residence.

Date of Decision: 12/15/2010

We feel relief, not having to wait longer to know their decision. Good!

But I didn't see any change on the USCIS website, I didn't received any email or text message too.

Also, it says : you are deemed to be a Lawful Permanent...as of the date of your original admission or adjustment of status (our is 11/04/2008).

So that means that a ten year green card is good for me until 2018? Right? So I don't count 10 years from now...

para Michigan em agosto por um mes,

em setembro para o Brasil e vamos ficar 6 meses la (ferias prolongadas),

na volta o nosso unico endereco (temporario) sera em Michigan na casa dos pais dele, pq iremos procurar outra regiao do pais para morar (cansei de neve)...

entao eu nao sei como devo fazer com o USCIS...deve mudar o address para Michigan, depois para o Brasil e quando voltar mudar de novo pra Michigan?

Alguem tem experiencia com isso?

Bora Bora, be aware that the permanent visa for spouses is only valid if you intend to live in Brasil, it's not made for multiple entries as a substitute of the regular tourist visa.

Laura, when you said that is not made for multiple entries...what that mean? We want to apply for a permanent visa for Jeff, because we want to live there for more than 6 months, and we have plans to come back sometime next year and go back to Brasil again...but we cannot be limited to 6 months (tourist visa) every year...so that's way he have to apply for permanent...there is no other way to be there for 8 or 9 months in a roll...help me please...Ja da uma dor de barriga de pensar que isso nao sera possivel. Meu primeiro Natal inteirinho com o maridao (ano passado cheguei nos EUA no dia 25 a noite)

Ontem ficamos online no webcam com minha familia no Brasil durante a festa deles...e depois foi so eu e o gato, bem gostoso.

Tive um Natal antecipado em Michigan semana passada tambem com a familia do gato.

Ganhei uns presentes muito bacanas e de quebra um emprego tambem!

Meu primeiro emprego nos EUA.

é amizade ta sendo o mais difícil pra mim. Eu nunca fui de tentar fazer amigos, mas eu sempre fui muito ativa, faculdade, emprego, academai, sair a noite, então eu tinha muitos amigos.

O charles nao e daqui, tem familia aqui e ele e caseiro.

Aqui eu tenho uma pessoa que eu consideraria amiga porque a gente sai juntas. A gente se conheceu no trabalho. Agora nesse emprego novo, eu gosto muito dos meu co-workers, gente que trabalha com criança é mais alto asrtal e tudo, mas eles são muito diferente de mim.

Eu sempre fui mais fechada, mais dark. Eu não sou aquele tipo de pessoa que sempre sorri, e os gostos sao muito diferentes,. a maioria deles sao mais religiosos, mais familia, nao bebem, nao fazem isso, nao fazem aquilo. Eu escuto pink floyd e tenho uma visao mais moderna da vida.

Eu jamais me sentiria parte do grupo se a gente formasse um grupo social.

Concordo contigo Nessa...sou fechadona com estranhos ou com gente que nao sinto firmeza, a turma do ESL 'e bacaninha, mas bem naquela...nao bebem, nao fazem isso, nao fazem aquilo...Como nao trabalho...fiquei na mao...o Jeff 'e bem caseiro tambem, ta sempre lendo muito...Minhas melhores amigas eu sei quem sao agora que to aqui por um ano: minha mana mais velha, e uma amigona de Joinva...Do tipo que quando escreve email, escreve como se tivesse falando comigo em pessoa (ja esperando uma resposta na lata)...muito bom ter isso...Nao vejo a hora de voltar pra la, sentar junto e rir de verdade...
