    Congrats!

Quick question if you don’t mind  - was it difficult to get your immunization records? My husband is from Ireland and he thinks he won’t be able to get them. Now seeing your situation I feel like we need to be more on the ball with this and get his dr’s appointment scheduled! 😬

As far as I remember I got them last year, I asked my mom to contact the local health board of the county I’m from and they were able to find it. I think if you google your local health board in Ireland as well you can find an email or phone number that you can reach out to and they should hopefully respond! So go through the HSE.ie site for the county you were raised in

  2. to follow up on this, my interview was yesterday and I was partially approved pending receipt of the medical. asides from this (receiving an RFE in mail this week according to our very friendly officer!) issue our application was considered clear and veritable. grateful to the respondents here on this thread. however, i would have preferred to have had it ready sooner - blood work is taking much longer to process during covid times... don't leave it late like i did.

Actually according to CDC everyone must have an X-ray age 15 or older, all countries https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/ti/panel/tuberculosis-panel-technical-instructions.html#screening

Not sure how a medical report shows that you have been exposed?

    Blood work-

as it turned out it was actually my BCG vaccination - the vaccine records did not show that i had been immunized and the doctor neglected to ask me if i had had the BCG vaccine which is actually routine practice for young kids in ireland. so one 200 dollar chest xray later here we are :/

  5. Hi there. My medical exam shows that I have been exposed to TB and need to have an X-ray and possibly treatment. Because of that my medical report won’t be ready on time for my interview in 2 days time.

what should I do? Reschedule my interview when I’ve been given full clearance and report by doctor, or just go to the interview without the document?
    Any advice greatly appreciated.

  6. Hi there! I received my Advanced Parole EAD and travel permit November 28th 2019 after filing in June 2019. My husband's sister (both are USC) co-signed his petition since his tax return for 2018 did not put his earnings above the required amount to support me. He is a bartender and at the time received all his income (tips) in cash. His sister co-signed and the EAD was successful and now the only thing to wait for is our interview. His current employer taxes his income fully and that is reflected on our most recent joint tax return. I have also been paying into Unemployment insurance (UI) since I came to the US on a J1 graduate work visa in January 2018. I am also a bartender and due to COVID-19, we are both unemployed since March 13th. My husband is claiming his unemployment insurance since April. I applied in mid April and received notice of my claim being approved today May 18th.

    Background info aside,

    1. Is it a problem for me to be claiming UI even if I am no longer receiving benefits at the time of my interview and the only reason that I claimed it was as a result of the pandemic?

    2. Is it potentially damaging to my sister in law for me and/or my husband to be claiming since she is meant to be our financial sponsor?

    3. Am I actually entitled to UI if I am being financially sponsored?

TLDR; as a EAD holder waiting on my interview for GC, should I avoid claiming unemployment in case it causes a problem for my application?

Any advice would be really appreciated! Thank you in advance!
