Correct, and the stamped visa serves as your green card for a year. Chances are your green card will come in the mail before you return to the US. Your spouse can just send it to you in Canada. In future you will use the green card and your passport to enter the USA. No future "visas" for you to enter the US.
About the green card, I been told I would have to pay about $220 USD to get one processed, and that it would be delivered to my spouses address.
And it willtake roughly 120 days?
Does that sound accurate?

Hi All,
I'm a current resident of Canada and a new member to this forum.
After a 2 year long process, I finally received my Immigrant Visa as part of my returned passport.
The Expiry date is August 24, 2020 (6 months after my medical)
The question I have is, I'm planning on flying to Florida in the first week of April (Hopefully)
But only for 10 days as a planned visit and back.
Would there be an issue with returning back to Canada and then planning my eventual departure in the summer?
Would I need to obtain a visitor visa??
Clarification would be greatly appreciated.
Concerned Coronavirus may cause issues (merged)

I was there this past Monday, everything is status quo. I do feel your anxiety though.
By the way, do not arrive with a backpack or large bag, they will deny you at the door and have you discard it
