What tools / way have you guys been using to study for the exam?

I’d highly recommend this video for the civics questions

you can download it and set it up for 1.5 speed and watch it many times so you can test your self many times ( like flash cards )

just keep in mind that there are changes of some names ( regarding elections ) . I’m not sure about that

    check USCIS for more updates

    good luck 👍

Just received my oath ceremony date (was uploaded into the documents tab one day after the interview), it's a little over 2 weeks away at a courthouse (I requested a name change).

Does anyone know how long it takes to get a passport afterwards if you do expedited? Is it really 4-6 weeks as stated on the website?

    Congratulations

I’m waiting for my passport , expedited

but hopefully it will be really expedited 😆😆

agencies reopened back on Aug Sep and people it looks like they are working better than couple months ago . Because some people reported that they waited for 5 months 6 months when they applied at the pandemic surge period ( when passport agencies around the country locked down ) .
So no hopefully it will take 3-5 weeks as I’ve watching some posts from passport applicants

    congratulations again

    pozdravleniya

  3. Finally I’m American citizen ... I came to this great country with a diversity visa green card lottery program

I took my oath on 10/29 and it was very smooth process . We were 16 people total with the officer .
I had my interview 3 weeks ago and it was fast too . The officer was so amazing

we started with a conversation about the weather and about medicine when she knew I’m a doctor . That start was very stress relieving

Then she started with 6 questions ( all correct )

    1. Who is my representative?
    2. who is Vice President ?
    3. What the constitute do ?
    4. when was the independence?
    5. US holidays ?
    6. How many voting members of House of Representatives ?

then English writing . Reading ( the president lives in the White House )

then we went through the application

thank you for everyone who shared his experience in this post ( I create it 😆

congratulations for everyone who finished the process and my best wishes to everyone who still waiting and just be patient during this hard time !

Hey, Bostonians, I got the passport. It took 3 weeks, and I paid for expedite service. BUT my journey is not over,  my passport indicates that I am MALE. OMG! I have complicated family name, and it was correct, but gender is not :)

I thought it over, but no. Now I am on the call to find out do I have to pay for expedite correction or not. Its so funny. We are all humans, and make mistakes. Just wasted money for expedite service.

    Heyyy Adella

    congratulations 🎊🍾🎈🎉

that’s not a big issue , it’s already over , you’ve done with the hardest part and there is just very little left !
I passed my interview last week and waiting for my oath ceremony to write my experience, I’m so excited for it

There is meter parking around the building but it is limited. There is a garage across the street, Government center garage. But I wouldn't park there. It's under construction which makes it hard to get in and out and it's expensive. It cost us $44 for two hours. Park at the garage above Haymarket at the end of the street. It was only $20 for two hours. Same walk to the office. This is the address on Google maps.136 Blackstone St, Boston, MA 02109. Good luck!!

    Thank you so much

OMG! I am so so happy for you! It's unbelievable. Congrats! Your journey is official over!

I applied a week ago and its in process. I paid for expedited as well, but not sure how long does it take these days. My mom got stroke last year, and always feels bad, want to make sure I have a passport if anything happens.

That’s the hardest part of our lives .
My prayers to your Mom and my best wishes !

Congratulations!!! That’s great news. I agree this forum is life saver. I filed my wife’s paperwork on my own 14 years ago. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without this forum.

Yes we have moved to the passport forum now.

Good luck everyone still waiting. Patience is the key. Especially in these trying times.

    Congratulations man 🎉

im glad that the post I’ve created helped a lot of Bostonians

    im waiting for my interview

    wish me a good luck

Hello, Bostonians, my USCIS journey is over. My Oath Ceremony was yesterday. It was superfast, like 15-20 min. No guest allowed, 15 people at the time.

I want to thank to all members, and everyone who answered to my questions. This Forum helped me a lot with all my immigration issues. I would say, more than some "experienced" attorneys. A few of them even told me that I wont get a green card NEVER. And this Forum helped me find the right key to open the right door.

I am sooo happy, I will celebrate all this week :) Next step is to get the Passport. I hope it's my last tracking number :)

    Since yesterday 👇

    September 28, 2020

You can now apply for routine service and expect to receive a passport in 10-12 weeks. You also have the option of paying an additional $60 for expedited service to receive your passport in 4-6 weeks.

If you need, you can use this option. Good Luck! I wish everyone to become a successful expat ....just be a good person and never give up!

Hiii Adella . Congratulations 🎉🎈. So happy for  you . What a great journey!  .
thank you so much for sharing your experience. Wish you the best always

And please don’t forget about my wine 😆

I had my combo interview today. I received an email sometime last week informing me to bring my spouse with me for the I751 interview. We were asked some basic questions about our relationship - where did you meet, when did you meet, each other's date of birth, place of marriage, how big was the wedding, what activities the two of us do together etc. The I 751 was approved then N400 interview was conducted. Civics test, followed up by reading and writing test then few more questions from the information on the application. It was approved too.

Lawrence MA is conducting same day oath ceremony and 90 minutes after I walked in the USCIS building I left as an US Citizen. Phew... it comes to an end for me.

But I filed for my daughter as my dependent and if her file was at the Field Office her I751 would have been approved too. For no reason, she hasn't received even her bio metric appointment and now it is back to calling USCIS and try to reason with them.

    Congratulations.. thanks for sharing
