For citizenship you need to show your child support is current- there is no such requirement with the K visa. They may ask him about it though in order to assess his case in general or for public charge concerns and if asked he needs to tell the truth. He is being very responsible trying to set aside money for when he will be out of work and no there is nothing wrong with you contributing towards his child support obligations as his fiance/spouse.

Thank you so much! I appreciate It !

This is a very odd statement. It sounds like you are saying he is saving money to leave with them for child support before he immigrates. Thats all fine but you are aware his child support obligations do not end because he moved right? Unless he is going to leave them a bank account with funds to cover monthly support until they reach 18- he will need to ensure he is able to make steady monthly payments with as little interruption as possible.  If he ever plans on getting citizenship he will need to show he is current on all child support so try to gather documentation now of the past and present and continue to collect documentation in the future.

correct,  he knows he must keep paying paying child support. So he has set up an account he hopes to have 6 month of child support on an account for them.

Our question more is... how to answer when the interviewer asks “how do u plan on supporting your kids if you know you won’t be able to work when you get to USA first”

is it ok to say I will Be helping with his child support payment if he hasn’t gotten a job after his savings run out ????

  4. Hello, Does anybody have experience with the process when your fiancé was previously married and has kids from that relationship that will not be coming with us......how should we prepare for the interview?

We are still Long way from the interview as we are still awaiting NOA2 but wanted to think ahead

my fiancé has 4 children from a previous marriage. He does have to give them child support..... will that be an issue brought up during interview ???

Should he show proof that he has been saving ahead of time to leave money for their child support ???

also, do we have to have proof of me meeting the children? Would that be beneficial !?!

    any Help will be appreaciates
