  1. We have visited the Philippines consulate in Chicago to renew her passport. Her old passport has her maiden name on it. Then we had a report of marriage also stamped in her passport. The consulate at the time told me that it was required that her name be hypenated because the Philippines doesnt recognize the new last name. Is this correct? Now we just went in to renew her Philippine passport and the consulate has hyphenated her name on the new passport. The problem is the airline tickets are not hypenated and non of her IDs are hypenated. Will we have a problem with flying with her passport?

    Thanks.

  2. We just recived a RFI about our form I-693. This seams funny to me and not sure why we recived it!! Before leaving the Philippines my wife compleated her medical exam and recived a DS-3025 and her medical X-ray. At the POE in LA she handed over her brown sealed envalope and from my understanding the information inside would go to the USCIS and matched up when we compleated our AOS. When compleating our AOS we included a copy of the DS-3025 form and thought that was all we needed to send. But now 6 months later we have a RFI for the I-693.

In the letter to us it states we need to have a compleated I-693 medical report asministered by a physician. Later in the letter it states All our papers were reviewed and there are no records of a form DS-2053, DS-3024 or DS-3026. I guess that is true because we only have a DS-3025 form. But what are those other forms?

Then on the botom line it reads.....

VACCINATIONS Evidence submitted indicates that you have met the vaccination requirements.

So do you think they are just wanting a I-693 form filled out to them? Is it ok to have the information transcribed to the I-693? On advice from this board we only submited the DS-3025 but I guess this is not enough.

    What would you recomend????

  3. I want to check something to make sure I am right. My fiancee seams to remember reading some where that the 1040 tax form needs to be notarized along with the I-134. I have been reading all of the forums and have not came across this. So is it true that the 1040 also needs notarized? Or not?

    Thank you for your help.

  4. I am very happy to say I have recived our NOA2 and now have also recived the letter from the NVC that my papers will be sent to Manila, Philippines.

I am now working on the papers I need to send to my fiancee for her interview. My qusetion is how close to the interview should things like my bank statments, proof of on going relationship, and other dated material. Is it wise to send my papers to her now even if she does not have the interview for 2 months? Or should I wait to find out when the interview is and then send them?

    Thank you for your help.

  5. Can you use your 401K as financial supporting evidence? And if so should that be listed under stocks and bonds?

I also have a question about 125%of the poverty level. I hear everyone talking about this but can anyone tell me the exact amount in dollars what the current level is? Is it around $17,000 or am I way off? I just want to know so I know if I am above this level or not.

    Thank you.

  6. Hello everyone. I am just starting the Visa journey. I am compleating my I-129f and have a 2 questions. I have learned that I will need to have 125% of the poverty level to suport my fiencee. I have also read that this poverty level is listed on form I-864P but I am unable to find it. Can some one sare were to find it or be so kind to let me know what the current level is? I know I am most likely making this to hard but for example if the poverty level is $15,000. Is it $18,750? 15,000 X 125% or is it $33,750? 15,000 X 2 + 3750? Or am I totaly confused?

Does anyone have an example of the Declaration of how you met in person in the last two years? I understand it should only be 1 page long but unsure of what information I should include. I am just worried I wont inclued the correct information or not give them what they want. Thank you to anyone who can help.

    Aaron
