  1. Hello, I haven't posted much on this website, but have found it very helpful during the long process for my fiance's K1 visa. I'm currently in Thailand with my fiance, and we just received her passport today with the sealed packet. Upon opening her passport she discovered that her date of birth is wrong on the visa page. It is off by one day, her date of birth is 03/24/1991, they put 03/25/1991. Of course this all comes from my original mistake on her form I-130 last year when I mistyped her date of birth. Every other document we had submitted had her correct date of birth on it. Of course it is after hours now and the US embassy Bangkok is now closed until Monday. Has anyone here had a similar issue in the past? How long is it going to take for this to be fixed by the embassy? We were planning to leave next Thursday August 12th, but now I feel that this is no longer possible. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm so angry with myself for the original mistake, and greatly annoyed that the embassy didn't double check their information before printing her visa. But if I hadn't made the original mistake, I doubt this would have happened. Thank you everyone.

  2. Hey there everybody,

This morning I just received my form I-797, Notice of Action in the mail for my form I-129f. I made an error I cannot believe I made, after double checking the document multiple times before mailing it to the USCIS. My fiance noticed right away when I sent her a picture of the receipt, I was so excited I didn't notice. I put down the wrong date of birth for her. She was born 03/24/1991, what I put was 03/25/1991. What should I do? Clearly a simple typo. I noticed other topics about typos, and waiting until it gets further along, and having them fix it then. Or login to my USCIS account and send message explaining it. I did not file it online however. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  3. Hello, I'm wanting to file my paperwork to get my visa for my fiance, but I am unsure if I need to answer yes or no to this question on the form. I'm short on money currently, and was trying to avoid paying to get the answer from a lawyer. In 2011 I got cited for a DWAI related to alcohol. I don't have to list this on employment forms or anything, but the question is more open on this form. I don't want to risk wasting time filing the paperwork without knowing what answer I need to put. Thank you for any help provided.
