David and I met when he came to work for my company as a student intern in June 2002. We knew from day one that we were meant for each other. I was still married, separated for 1 1/2 years, and trying to scrape enough money together to get a divorce. Being a single mom, this is hard. Managed to do it though, and in February 2003, I was officially divorced. We filed our I-129F in June 2003 and got our approval notice January 27th, 2004. It has been a hard, long struggle, but worth everything. I have two boys from my marriage, ages 6 & 5, and they love him very much. I think it has been as hard for them as it has been for us, not seeing each other. It's very weird to think how someone all the way from Newfoundland, CAN and a native Houstonian could meet, but it was definitely GOD's will. We will finally be husband and wife in June 2004.
