Ahh, sorry to hear that - the Nov. batch went out today, so looking at your timeline (Aug 12th DQ?) I am guessing you will be informed of your interview date within the first half of December for a January interview date (so far they've released new batches on Sept 10th, Oct 7th and Nov 13th). The good news is that they seem to be clearing the backlog a bit, so you might get an apt in early January! Good luck!

    That is encouraging! Good luck!

    Congrats Alicia! 👌🏾

    Mind sharing your timeline ?

    E.g. when were you DQ'd ?

    Kind regards

Thank you! So I am trying to sort out an issue I have as there are 2 timelines for me and I can't update them or delete them.

To give you an idea they received our I-130 by the end of June 2019, by early December it was moved to the NVC and a new case was created by the end of January. We became documentarily qualified by the 2nd of June this year and on the 8th October I was informed that my interview would happen on the 4th November. As my medical results did not arrive on time for the interview but they kept my passport, I am just waiting for them to check it all and get my passport returned and finally fly to USA asap!

Have you had your interview yet?

    Safe journey

Yes, my interview was in December 2016. I arrived here 13 days later and am now impatiently awaiting my citizenship interview so that I can be done with USCIS forever.

Wow, that is exciting then! Has it been scheduled yet or are you waiting to have it scheduled? Best of luck! I know what you mean about being done with the USCIS...

    Many have.

You are of course permitted to leave. You are not in prison. Immigration comes under 'essential travel'. Visas would not be issued if no one was permitted to leave the country at all - what a waste of time and resources that would be. The reason the person at the embassy couldn't give you a straight answer is because that's not his job and he doesn't want to be accused of giving false information, etc. It's the government employee version of 'no comment'.

Thank you so much for your answer 😃, it definitely gives hope! Everything is really ambiguous at the moment and the guidelines are not very clear.

Can't wait to have my passport back and book a flight! Have you taken your interview yet?

  5. Hello everybody,

I have been approved my CR1 visa today 😄😄 so I am really happy about it. However, there is a lockdown starting tomorrow here in the UK, so I am not sure if I will be able to leave the country once I received my passport. I asked today to the consular office who interviewed me and he mentioned that as far as he is concerned, I can enter the USA with no problem, but in terms of leaving the UK I would have to contact the UK government.

I contacted the travel advice team and their answer is that it applies to British nationals (which I am not, as I am Spanish) and that they cannot tailor an answer for my question, just follow the guidelines given and read the travel restrictions, very annoying!

My next step will be to contact the Spanish Embassy here in the UK and see if I can get an answer...maybe I cannot travel to the US but they allow me to travel back to my home country 🤷‍♀️

Has anyone got any information about travelling internationally from the UK to the US using the CR1 visa? Did anyone successfully travel and use the CR1 visa during the first lockdown back in March?

I appreciate any information that anyone can provide, all I want is to be reunited to my husband asap!!!!

  6. Hello! Sorry to hear that some of you have been waiting for so long for your interview to be scheduled! It is a pain! Ours became documentarily qualified on the 2nd of June and still waiting for the interview in London, anyone else for London too? I tried to request information about the US Embassy capacity monthly and the position we are in in the waiting list, but were told they couldn't provide that info! the lack of info is desperating!

So I got DQ last week and I was wondering as

The London Embassy is still closed if they are still scheduling interview dates?

Has anyone in here been DQ recently and got a date in London?

The UK are opening up a bit more from lockdown tomorrow with schools and some shops open, I haven't seen anything from the London Embassy however, has there been any indication as to when they will reopen for interviews?

I know there may be no answers yet to my questions

My husband and I are in the exact same situation, we were just emailed about our DQ like an hour ago and the interview will happen for me in London. I have read in another post that it look 3 weeks to schedule the interview to someone, however now with the Covid I am not sure. Does anyone know how long it can take from getting DQ and having your interview scheduled?

  8. Hello everyone,

I would like to know if there is anyone that has experienced or knows how to apply for a new Spanish Police Certificate from abroad. My husband and I applied for the Spouse Visa and I have been uploading the Civil Documents, but I need a new Spanish Police Certificate. Unfortunately I have been living in the UK for the past eight years, so it would have to be a family member in Spain who applies for the Police Certificate on my behalf and they would need a written authorization and a certified copy of my ID or passport.

What would be the best and fastest way to obtain it? Thanks in advance.
