I understand how you feel right now since I've been in that situation 4 years ago when I came here in the US. I depend on my hubby for everything, I was totally depressed looking at the 4 walls of our house, which made me feel so useless, I gained a lot of weight, I was not driving then because I was still waiting on my papers and my green card is still on process, I did the same thing about not telling my family about any problems coz I don't want them to worry about me and I pretend to be happy all the time we've been talking on the phone. I never liked the cold so I did not want to get out of the house all the time since I came from a tropical country, just when I needed something at the grocery...after I've adjusted, I became independent, got a nice job, go wherever I want to shop, go to the gym 3x a week and my hubby was happy for me.

I think it is just normal and you will adjust in maybe a year or less..

Talk to you husband about it, I'm sure he will help you cope up with what you feel..

Hello everyone, I just called NVC and AVR says..my case was completed on the 19th of November!!!

I am sooo happy!!

Now I just have to wait for an interview.

Thanks Tigerinroc, I wasn't expecting it to be that fast, I thought it would take about 3-4 weeks to be completed, I just happened to check AVR this morning and got surprised.

Whats wrong with NVC???

Yeaterday AVR message was saying, case has been completed. I just received email from NVC asking for Police cert, which I already submitted with DS230 package.

I hope this is a false email.

I spoke with NVC and they said, my case is completed. Email I received is to take a new Police cert at the time of interview... Glad to hear that

I just checked the AVR and it's saying that I am missing documents, I was worried so I talked to a Rep and she said it's about the DS-230, which they haven't even sent me a checklist yet. I just paid last week and sent IV package couple of days ago.

I am a little worried about my parent's Police Certificate since they did not put a thumb print on it..Anybody knows if it's going to be a problem???

I only sent a copy of my dad's military record since he wants to keep all originals, would they want original copies for that too??

is AVR saying NVC reviewed packet and we found missing document (not exactly saying DS230 right) and we sent a letter by mail etc? it is same to me as well but I didnt get time to talk with Rep yet. but making sure with you.

AVR is not really specific about which documents I"m missing, but the Rep said it's about my DS-230 package which I'm sure they haven't recieved yet..it's probably still in their mailroom as what they always said. She never told me there's something missing with my AOS. If you want to make sure, talk to a Rep..

Did anyone got email to pay IV bill pay after it showed up at NVC site? mine is showed up yesterday morning but still no email.

Mine showed up "Not Paid" yesterday morning and I got the email last night. You should get the email soon.

My IV Bill ($400) is showed up this morning but as far as I know I cannot pay before I received email from NVC right?

My IV bill was generated too this morning but when I called, AVR only says they recieved AOS package, does it mean that they have entered DS-3032 in the system?

ok i just found out my DS3032 has been accepted for both cases and i've already sent in the AOS package couple days ago - should i wait for NVC to confirm that they've received the AOS package before I pay the IV fee bil that's already available online? please help as IV fee bill is already available to be paid. let me know people.

I am currently preparing my DS-230 package. I was wondering if I need to check yes on Question 34, Previous Military Service. My Dad served in the military 30 years ago. Do I have to send NVC copies of his military record???

Hello guys, can you please add me up to the list..

I just called NVC and they said they had both my parents case already..it took them almost two weeks to recieve and assign a MNL case number. Now I'm waiting for the DS-3032 and AOS fee bill to be generated and they said it could take 2-4 weeks.

Finally, my Mother's case is approved. I got the NOA2 hard copy. It was approved Sept 18.09 and then I checked my case status online and it was showing initial review. But anyway, I am so happy. !! thanks!

for Question 22, i put N/A since my mom is in the Phils., I believe you only complete it when your mom is currently in the US and adjusting status. Good luck! hope you'll get the approval soon!

You can register for automatic case status updates by email and text message by creating an account at their website, www.uscis.gov . You need to have the reciept number from the Notice of Action that they send you.

Hi Guys, I had my oath taking ceremony today at the Baltimore District Court and it all went well.

There was about 80 people in the room with only 45 of us taking the oath. It only took a total of less than an hour. First, they processed all the papers, took the letter that they sent and our Permanent Resident card and gave us the guides and the small flags then we waited for the judge who came an hour late. As soon as she arrived, she explained everything about Pres. Obama's speech for like 10-15 mins. and handed the certificates to us. There were no videos shown as what I've expected.
