  1. Thank you guys for responding.

I did not resend the I-90 to the right Center, because I was told not to so because the card will be resend to me. Supposedly they put in Service Request and requested to resend the card to me.

Also, it's not in local office, it's in possession of Texas Service Center. i called this morning again, and was told to wait.

Get to your local office asap as they will keep the greencard there for 6 months after it came back to them and will destroy it once 6 months are over. If that happens you have to reapply and wait for a long time. It happened to me in 2001 and i never knew they will hold on to it for 6 months. I was told when i went to the office after 240 days and had to reapply but got mine for free as they had my address wrong on their file. Go to the office as soon as possible and you might get it by hand. Good Luck

I agree with getting to the local office (via infopass) but disagree that the greencard is there.

  2. It's been over 4 months since my husband entered the US on CR1 visa and he never received a green card nor welcome notice.

When I called once, the officer said that it was sent out on May and returned to the USCIS TEXAS service center as undeliverable.

I sent I-90 to wrong service center, somewhere in California and they rejected I-90 because it was sent to the wrong service center.

What should I do. This is truly retarded!

Any help, advices would be appreciated.

  3. Is it possible that my case was completed yesterday and shipped to the Embassy today? It's hardly a coincidence that my case was completed yesterday and someone’s from Bosnia was mailed out today. I check the DHL, and there are hardly ever any cases that go to Bosnia, Sarajevo.

Interview that, embassy from Bosnia told me that the NVC is the one scheduling interviews.

  4. The NVC starts scheduling CR1/IR1 interviews with the embassies the first two weeks of each month. The cut off date for this month will probably be either the 11th or the 14th. After those dates, they stop scheduling so that is why so many people try to send in their paperwork to have a case completed before then.

    Thanks Diana,

AYY! This is such ugly waiting game! :) I totally hate it!

  5. Hello! My CR1 interview is set on May 23rd (called up NVC yesterday)....is it too early to pay for document verification? Or do I have to wait for the packet 4 or the appointment letter?

And can someone please paste the link where you get your interview and medical exam dates? I don't know the medical exam date yet. My husband forgot to ask NVC and couldn't get through again since it's busy or kicks you out. Thank you all.

What's a document verification payment? What's that all about now? Please enlighten me.

Ayy...the closer we are to the end of this crazy journey, more nervous I get.

  6. Hi everyone our interview will be on May 28. :)

Hello Calamitka. Welcome back! :)Good luck on your interview.

As you can see, some of us are waiting to hear 'case closed"

Do you guys think that this interview scheduling is based on Embassy capacity or whenever NVC has time to schedule the interveiw.

    Embassy capacity for sure!

Bosnian Embassy is not that busy! Hoping it's not going to take them forever to schedule an interview.

    Thanks Karla! :)

  7. On average, how long it takes the NVC to complete the case after the ds-230 is received and in the system???

The NVC operator told me that they received the case this morning 03/31/08.

According to the USPServices th/ey received it on Thursday, 03/27/2008.

Let's assume that all supporting documents sumbited are ok.

Based on previous cases, how long it usually takes them to complete it after they have it in the system?

    Thanks

  8. Hi there,

Maybe this will make you feel better. My I130 was approved on January 31 2008, and it was received by NVC on February 4, 2008. So for my case it took 4-5 days to be transferred. It does not take them long to transfer the case from USCIS to NVC.

Once it gets there you can write an e-mail to NVC inquiry and in subject put your case number, nad /Expedite request.

    Good luck to you!

  9. Call again. I had a hard time getting the NVC operators to tell me if it was generated or not and ended up waiting for it. Chances are they did generate it.

    Diana

He he. Great idea! Sometimes the best and simplest ideas escapes us.

I'll call again much later tonight to make sure I get a different person. If they say its generated again, I'll go ahead with the shorcut.

    Thanks Mate

I just spoke with NVC. The operator told me the ds-230 package was printed out today, and that it will be mailed out this week.

However, my automated message has not changed since March 13,. My IV bill is in the system, I864 is ok.

My question is…. how long it takes them to send the DS-230 package out, from the time they generate it?

Or should I really go with the shortcut?

  10. my questions is, what is a checklist document? Jame's shorcut does not have it?

Another thing, I have noticed that the ds-3032 I received is slightly different from the the one I sent to them(using jame's shortcut).

At the bottom left lower corner the name of that state where the interview is going to take place is listed, while on the one I sent it's not listed.

....just to share the info with you.

    Really what's the checklist???

People that use Jame's shortcut, how would they send that one? :)
