No, I haven't requested an expedited interview

I just have found out that the US embassy in Ankara started processing K1 visa (my application was sitting there since July 2020) so I scheduled an appointment (through a link on their website) and went to my interview, that simple

Hi ! thank you for the answer. seems like  k1 visa different then CR1 visa . wish you have good day and best for your interview .

If you applied within Turkey your application is almost near to be reviewed

because they're working on those who filed from Ankara embassy, so they already know you are a resident.

My case so do many others, is different because we filed from different countries ( my case was filed in Iraq) then transferred to Ankara because US embassy in Baghdad was closed. You guys have the highest priority so no worries. I know a friend who lives in Turkey was DQ'd on may 17th 2020 and just got his IR1 visa  interview schedule for next month Feb 2021

They are working on those who filed before you so just wait. wish you the best.

thank you so much i wish the best for you too just i was worried because already 6 months since i got my DQ now :(

I'm in the same boat as you, I have submitted my residency renewal application and haven't heard back from them.  I went to my embassy interview (Jan 14) and haven't had any issue.

That's so good to read, and congrats on your successful interview! My DQ was on September 1, 2020, and I still haven't gotten my interview - I even sent inquiries to the embassy but never heard back from them. Did you get an expedite for your interview? I tried but was rejected unfortunately.

Could u pls finish ur timeline so we can help u better

I've been a Turkish resident for 4-5 years. On November 2020, I renewed my residency but I have not received my new permit yet. Is it possible to still have my interview, or will this create an issue? (I have already gotten DQ on September 1st, 2020).

Go to your name on the top right of the page. Then you will see My Timeline. Click on that and fill it out.

Once you input all the info, look for PORTALS (on the top left of the page). Click on that and you will see others who are also in the Turkey embassy.

Some embassies have resumed their interviews but others have not. Brazil (mine) has not... so I have been waiting for the interview letter since May. It mostly now depends on how your country is dealing with COVID numbers. Good luck!

thank you so much and wish you good luck to you as well 😊

Yeah. I wish we knew about this form before interview. I cant figure out a definite as to why and who gets this additional “extreme vetting”. What I have found it is for people that are from MENA countries. But not all the people from MENA get it.
My lawyer didnt even tell me about it being a possibility. Its very hard to think you are finally at the end and then get it could be 2 weeks or a year before it gets approved.
Its not just the wait time of being apart for longer, its that it is extremely dangerous in Iraq for certain people.
inshallah it will be short wait for them to evaluate the form.
By the way, the only reason why we got interviewed in Turkey is cause they accepted expedite request. Otherwise we would be stuck until they opened up non Turkish citizens/residents.

hello  i expedite 2 time and they denied it and i want ask you what you mean they dont give interview to residence permit ?

WE got DQ'ed on May 5.. Hoping the embassy will schedule my husband's interview soon. Please share some update if you have received any interview notice. I called the embassy this morning, and the rep said they will resume visa services on a case by case basis. Odd! I told her the website does say that it has resumed services. she even asked where i saw this info. Im not sure what to believe now:(

i had my DQ  already 5 months and still didn't received any interview letter  is it normal ?
