  1. Hi,

Has anybody sent recently physically signed AOS forms along with copies of supporting financial documents and applicants' civil documents to following address

    National Visa Center
    ATTN: CMR AOS
    31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 100
    Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

If yes, did National Visa Center process the AOS and other supporting documents received by them through USPS and forward the case to the USA  consulate in the country where interview needs to be scheduled. I mean it as if they would have processed before the new upload system came in force.

I am asking this as my case starts with BMB and when I log in, it still takes me to the old system (which existed at the time of paying AOS fees and Application fees) without upload options.

I had received from NVC in email at the time of paying AOS and IV fees two documents to be put on top of the set, one

Document Cover Sheet naming all documents required and to be indicated with X as Enclosed, Unavailable or Not Applicable and another

Barcoded Document Coversheet in BOLD with above-mentioned address and Principal Applicant's Name and Case number mentioned at bottom to be put at the very top of the full set sent.

The old online system did allow me to fill all IV application forms for my family (some forms which I had started filling long back and which were shown as incomplete and also one new form which was showing as not started as indicated Start Now also) in the past week (in February 2020) and accepted them and shows status as completed for all forms now.

I have sent signed AOS with copies of supporting financial documents and applicants civil documents along with Document Cover Sheet with X as required and the coversheet with NVC Attn CMR AOS address in bold at the very top of set by USPS Certified Priority Mail with Return Receipt Request which should reach NVC  in few days early next week.

Any help of similar situation involving sending documents by USPS to NVC after online system to upload documents came in force but not available to some cases will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. I am unemployed currently and was not working for a long time for few years at a stretch.

Only for a brief period of few weeks I was working in 2019 (not most recent year) and have attached W2 and also pay stubs which does contain the hourly rate and total pay with i864.

However, when I was working, I was earning reasonably well to support all applicants.

I have used joint sponsor whose income is more than sufficient for sponsoring all applicants

Due to above reasons, I have mentioned intended annual income as ZERO as even though I am looking for a job, I do not know when it will materialize and also do not want to provide a guess in absence of any proof or the fact that I was not working for a long time and have not filed tax returns and provided explanation for same.

Does mentioning intended annual income as ZERO have any negative implications if joint sponsor has sufficient income with proof to support all applicants.

    Thanks

Then you may need to send them the paperwork.  Try calling them tomorrow when they open, and ask for a supervisor review to move your information to the new site.  They may have to change your case number as well.

Thanks a lot for the update. I will try to call them again tomorrow. Trouble is real person should come on phone for me to speak to someone.

And in any case, as they did allow me to fill the application and sign and submit it on the old system, they should have automatically moved me to the new system or notified me that I should continue with sending them the forms the old way in postal mail at the very least and not worry about uploading them as per their instructions on website for public in general.

Not providing with any information leads to more confusion.

NO... I mean you didn't do any processing for several years.  Did more than 1 year go by between your contact at the NVC?  I do not mean when you've tried recently.

No. I ensured that I contacted NVC within one year and my case is current and at NVC. It is just that I paid fees in Aug-2018 and am filling forms in 2020.

I had contacted NVC in 2019, logged in their website, changed my address etc.

The problem I face is NOT finding UPLOAD links. NVC did allow me to fill the visa application form in Feb-2020 and shows the status properly as completed. It is just that it shows old site which does not have UPLOAD document links or the flowchart that shows on new website.

  5. Hi,

I am a greencard holder and I have filed for my wife and children greencard.

I have worked only for a short period of few weeks in 2019 and had zero income in 2018 and 2017. I had income of around $50K in 2016.

As the three most recent tax years (before 15-apr-2020) happens to be 2018, 2017 and 2016, I am going to provide the tax return for 2016. I will provide a signed statement for 2017 and 2018 that I had no income and hence was not required to file taxes.

I have other assets including cash and stock of around $15K only.

However, I am having my brother who is a US Citizen as Joint Sponsor and I will provide his tax transcripts for 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015 etc. His income is sufficient to sponsor my wife and children including himself for the most recent year.

Should I provide the my asset latest statements and W2 that I received for 2019 (with a very less number as wages  as it was only for few weeks). Will it be looked upon as adversely or will it have no effect on my petition as my brother's Joint Sponsorship is sufficient for the financial support.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanking in advance,

    Regards,

    before that.

Today afternoon. I try everyday few times a day from past week. Always automated message and try later.

I do not understand why they do not have system to call back the customer when number in queue is reached like many other government departments. This way, call will be answered at least. They can ask for case number to be keyed in for providing call back service if they require to identify actual cases and do not want to answer everybody at a priority.

  7. Hi,

I am a greencard holder and have filed I-130 for greencard for my wife and minor children and the case is for Mumbai, India and starts with BMB.

All the affidavit of support fees and visa application fees were paid in August 2018 (that is right two thousand EIGHTEEN).

At the time of paying the fees, on CEAC website there was no option for UPLOAD of documents for BMB cases. Paper documents had to be sent.

As mentioned above, I received a bar coded COVER SHEET in August 2018 from NVC in email to be post mailed along with documents in paper form to

    National Visa Center
    Attn. CMR AOS
    31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100
    Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

    Principal Applicant:
    Wife Name

    BMBCaseNumber

The case became current in November 2018. However, I did not file affidavit of support or visa applications at that time even though fees were already paid in 2018 and only started further process recently in February 2020.

The site now clearly states that DO NOT MAIL any documents to NVC and upload everything.

However, I am still seeing the old site and it DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY LINKS TO UPLOAD documents.

    What do I do ?

I have already tried to contact NVC on phone multiple times a day in morning, afternoon, evening, late night from many days and nobody ever comes on line. Automatic message followed by call again later is all I get.

I have already written to NVC using their form available on their website and no response yet. They say as of 10-Feb-2020, they are responding to mails received in December 2019.

I am planning to send documents to NVC at the address mentioned in the cover sheet by certified mail now as the rule changes from 24th and I will have post marked by this week.

Has anyone faced a similar issue of UPLOAD link NOT AVAILABLE. How was it resolved ?

Any help at the earliest will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks and Regards,
