  1. I seen lately that many Thai women went to interview and they have not got visa yet.

Becasue from thier fiance's income are not enough.

The Embassy is not accept a co- sponsor.

But the Embassy give opportunity for them that they can have other assets to show, like stock etc

If don't have, have to wait until get new tax return and have income enough

But co-sponsor can use for CR1 and IR1 Visa

I don't know about other countries, but it is happen in Thailand

  2. Ok this has me freaking out now.

Is it possible this is a K-1 vs. K-3 thing? I am over the limit for every year since 1990 EXCEPT last year. This year I am making at least 4 times the requirement. I noticed that Thai Family didn't have an issue. I can get a co-sponsor for last year. I wonder if they will accept my current years income, even though I haven't received a W-2 yet?

    Any advice here?

  3. Hi all, can anyone translate this address into English so I can send a letter via usps?

    100 หมู่1 บ้านบัว ตำบลบ้านบัว อำเภอเกษตรสมบรูณ์ จังหวัดชัยภูมิ 36120

    Thanks!

    ~Eric

I am Thai. I can help you to translate this address

    100 หมู่1 บ้านบัว = 100 Moo 1, Ban Bua

    ตำบลบ้านบัว = Ban Bua Subdistrict

    อำเภอเกษตรสมบรูณ์ = Keset Sombun District

    จังหวัดชัยภูมิ = Chaiyaphum Province

    36120 Thailand

    "100 หมู่1 บ้านบัว ตำบลบ้านบัว อำเภอเกษตรสมบรูณ์ จังหวัดชัยภูมิ 36120"

= 100 Moo 1, Ban Bua, Ban Bua Subdistrict, Keset Sombun District , Chaiyaphum Province 36120 Thailand

  4. It seems that this portion of the process is over for myself and Gam...well at least till she receives the visa in hand tomorrow. The embassy called her today, July 8th, and stated that she can pick up her visa on July 9th. It has been two weeks and three days since the time she gave her police certificate. All in all the process was pretty smooth. Just the mail clerk misplacing the original police certificate slowed it down by two weeks.

    Tis wonderful news!

    Cheers,

    Alvin

Congratulations for you and Gam kha !

  5. Hey all,

For my Fiancee to sign the forms for packet 3, should she sign her name in Thai as it appears on her passport or in English? She signed her name in English for the 129F before which is just her name printed in English. I don't see anywhere that specifies.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Sign as her sign in her passport

  6. Yup, she's gotten all those I believe. She goes back tomorrow for a follow up. So looks like she'll just need to play for the blood work and whatever other tests they have to run.

If you belive she gotten all those vaccines already and she still keep all records. Tell her bring with her when she goes to see a doctor. Then a doctor wont get her shot again. So she will have to pay just for health screening is around 2,500 baht. In my vaccination documentation worksheet, requested vaccines just "Td, Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella".

  7. Sawasdee krup took tant; interview successful...visa got approved yesterday Wed. 12th.    My girl will pick it up on Monday the 17th. It is a great relief. The most difficult part is finally over. Thanks everyone for the support and congratulations to recent approvals. Best wishes always for everyone with the future interviews. God bless.

Sawasdee chen kun kha khun ThaiStyleUSA, and congratulations to you and your fiancee.

What did they ask her for interview? Could you share us?

  8. Mark and Anya,

Thanks so much for your quick responses! Was wonderful reading about your experiences, but mine is not so wonderful as this just yet. Huge amounts of elation at the receipt of the NOA2 only to be followed my huge amounts of worry because finding out her family is totally against her moving to the US. I really do not know what to do. Unfortunately I don't have the good fortune of being able to stay or travel to Thailand for large amounts of time. I feel sad over the pressure and lack of support that she has and I can't be there to help her.

I have the NOA2 and have not even opened the envelope yet.

    Al

Just try to prove to her family that you can support their daughter and take care of her, make her happy when she lives with you there, and wont' make her cry. Remember, dont have any parents want their daughter to have trouble in living.

    Chok Dee kha

  9. Sawasdee ka fellow visa chasers! For a little back ground information: I'm an American woman living in Bangkok with my Thai fiancee. I've been here about 4 1/2 years now and am ready to go home.

I think you can see this in my timeline but we have completed all the info on my end (the American end of things) and have just finished collecting all the info for Packet 3. We haven't turned it into the embassy yet though because we have a slight problem.

I am pregnant and due in mid August :star: (if the little ####### comes on time) but I would like to give birth here and have a couple of months of nursing/baby time and adjustment before moving back to the United State and frantically looking for a job and worrying about my finances all over again. So, that means we would like to leave Thailand in mid-October/ perhaps November.

I realize that after the visa is issued we have 6 months before we have to exit the country....that means I want to schedule a later interview sometime in May. How can I do this? My second problem is, I'm afraid if I turn in Packet 3 too late, I will be "disqualified" or have some issues.

I've noticed some of you have some experience with the embassy. I've tried writing them, but i've gotten computer generated responses and no answers yet. What do you guys recommend.

Like I said, I'm in Bangkok so I could even go to the embassy myself....but I wouldn't know who to speak to; and in a sense I'm a little embarassed since I'd be asking about the "fiancee" visa when I'm already pregnant....Yeah, I know it's 2008 but some old fashioned sense in me has recently "popped up." hee hee.

What do you guys recommend? Thank you!

Your fiance can send Packet 3 back before NOA2 expire. And when your fiance send Packet 3 back, have to send "cover letter" too to tell them that when you would want to get interview date.

    Good luck ka !!

  10. In the packet 3 have checklist, ds-156k form, ds 157 form,ds 230 part I form, police certificate introduction, medical introduction, medical form and I-134 form kha.

Introduction has both language kha, English and Thai.

For the interview, They will ask in English kha. Yes one interviewer is Japanese kha. :-) Accent similar as Japanese speak English kha.

I am sure if your fiancee can't speak English much. They will have interpreter.

    Good luck kha
