My son was invited for an enterview in December 2019 only to be told that his visa category has changed because l am a citizen now  . I was a green card holder when I filed for him but got my citizenship six months to his interview.

So his status of F2b is now F1.

My question is  

what is his priority date now?

Is it 2014 or 2019?

I need help.

l need help agently.

l filed for my son in 2014.

He was 19yrs by then.

The case was approved after he 21yrs.

At the time I was a green card holder and turned US citizen in June 2019.

 He was invited for interview on 12/10.

During the interview he was told that his status has changed from F2B to F1 because of my status now.

He was given two options either to wait or get a retention letter to continue his case.

NVC is saying that his file is no longer with  them and we should deal with my Country Embassy.

Any one with this experience? How do we go about it. My son’s age 26 now.
